ive gone and done it, picked up my s3 on wednesday, 56 plate black.

over the moon with it, just need to get some sd cards to store my music and suss out how to play dvds and i'm jamming

the 180 mile journey home was good, just need to get used to 6th gear.

going to give it a clean tomorrow, will post up a pic

good lad, i dodnt hink you can play DVD's tbh.. With SD cards the max you can have (if RNS-e MK1) is 4G but they have to be High Capacity and they dont make a 4GHC anymore. So you might have to settle with two 2G ones. Ive got Samsung ones they do the job untill i can get my hands on a newer RNS-e

If only the rns-e would play DVD's seeing as it has a dvd drive. and even with the latest model you can't play dvds without adding additional harward
 
****** i thought they played dvds as standard, will look into the hardware, as my son was asking if he could watch his dvds whilst i'm driving

You can't watch DVD's in the RNS-E unfortunately, bit of a bummer.

You'll need to go for a multimedia interface with a DVD player to get DVD's to play through the RNS-E. I fit these, shoot me a PM if you're interested.

audi upgrades
How much did you pay for it if you don't mind telling me? Im going to look at some white ones soon and wondered if they were over priced. I'm not bothered if you don't want to share that info. How many miles and what extra's did it come with? Sorry about the questions.... ha
 
lol @ nath got it but cant reply as i aint stacked up 15 posts yet.

52k miles, fash, 13250, not sure what the std spec is on these, but its got sat nav and i can link my iphone to the car via a bluetooth connection.

can someone tell me what the top spec is on the s3's ?? would be interesting to know. and it is poss to fit the facelift lights ie the ones with the drl led strip, is it a straight swop ?
 
stuff that, i do like those lights but not enough to change the front end
 
cheers lingy, its due a cambelt change to managed to get that off the asking price, getting it done sharpish
 
How much is a cambelt change for a S3? I bet if done by Audi it's rather expensive?!! Oh and by the way, that's the kind of price i was hoping you was going to say. Tidy motor, i'm sure you'll enjoy! Just hope i can get the cars i'm going to look at down to that kind of price. Think i might be asking a bit too much off though. No harm in trying:sm4:
 
Oh and for the top of the range (i'm not positive about this, but i've seen a S3 with this stuff in it) sat nav, RS4 buckets seats heated, rear heated seats, bose sympathy, ipod conector, multifunction flat bottom steering wheel. That's a S3 the same age as yours. Newer one's i'm not sure about.
 
Audi want 399 and my indy want 374.

Got the sat nav and Bose. That will do me. Good luck with the search.
