I was just wondering how hard or if it's even possible to replace the silver parts on the seat? I went to look at an S3 yesterday and the drivers seat was stained. Not just a little but a lot! If anyones done it, how much does it cost?

The owner said he'd replace the part for me. As in that little section which worried me!

I'd assume its not easy, ie its all stiched in unless they are like the TT pole positions where the 'cushion' just lifts out?

I thought it sounded rather dodgy when he said he'd replace it. Car was over priced, didn't have much paper work with it either. Shame because it was a nice car!

Its surprising how they clean up with Autoglym leather cleaner.

Is it that easy? It was really stained! Never seen anything so bad.

I saw two S3s that I would definitely have bought before I got mine but there was no way I was buying them with those seats! Boke!

Not sure what it was stained with, wish i'd of taken photo's of it now so i could of put it on here. It was just black, as if someones jeans had run or something. Cant explain it really.

Nice car with great spec but I'm always weary about buying a car that's been modified. Usually means its been thrashed!

I had the silver bits done on my s5 seats on the same silver as what u need and for two seats it was £500, it's expensive because its nappa leather

You can buy leather seat paint...Maybe just do the two panels where you sit Black on both seats

I have those seats but have had no problem with staining with mine so whatever has stained it must of been pretty brutal! It would easier to find a complete replacement seat I would imagine. Those seats were an optional extra....

Hmmmmmm..... That's good to know, but i think the car is over priced and i doubt he'll budge to the price im willing to pay for it. Shame really, because if the seats can be fixed it'd make a nice car.

Clean and then reconolise (dye) is all thats needed, just need to get the dye colour matched. Get him to sort and if no good walk away.

I'm sure there was a thread a while ago warning about that garage!

your right ju i looked at that s3 they have had it a while.

It was in a thread about Elite Motor Company! Apparently they changed there name to Blue Ocean cars. Wouldn't go anywhere near tbh.

true and apparently changed a lot of things ju lol

Did you notice it had been fixed on the left wheel arch, but fixed in a very poor manor. Could tell just by looking at it from a far.

Wawwww..... Looking at all the threads i'm definitely not going back! Shame really. Seems a nice car.

Cheers N8 for trying to resolve the seat problem.

That is a nice s3. I don't have that kind of money though. Was looking for one around a 56plate or 07plate. There around my price range.
