Hey guys,

Thinking of buying a k03s turbo for my AUQ :jump:
It's an A3 1.8t 20v and going to be fitting the turbo in the next few day's

Should i fit this turbo before the Revo map or after or does it not really matter?

Here's the link to the turbo, i'm sure this will fit but i'm sure you guy's will tell me if it doesn't...

ko3s turbo k03s golf upgrade | eBayany thank's.

Before the remap or you wont get the most from the turbo.

No worries mate, if youve got the money id send the turbo of to CR turbos etc and get it treated to some hybrid lovin :).

Sending your current turbo to CR for a refurb will net you a K03s anyway as they generally upgrade to that spec (make sure you ask just in case)... buying that turbo from ebay is a waste of money if you plan to send it to CR unless you need the car on the road while you wait...

Getting the turbo hybrid'd is not the cheapest option as you will need to replace the MAF housing, injectors, TIP and arguably rods too as the K03 hybrid is a spiky little begger in torque delivery...

You will then need a custom map as stage 1/2 maps are no good...

That one on ebay needs to be refurbed anyway, if you look closely at the pic of it the blades look bent.

You need to be going custom map rather than REVO to make the most of it.... I had a revo map when I upgraded to a ko3s and it ran ok but not amazingly, lots of flatspots, power that was never quite there.... All the usual toys ( 3" DP, decat, BOV, decent filter, FMIC ) will really help you make the most of it tho

Just be aware of strengthening your engine internals, not cheap nor is an engine rebuild
