Could do with some help on this :)

Will lowering the car have a noticeable impact on where the lights shine on the road as I can only see about 30 feet max infront of the car when on dark roads? ( main beam is fine but when following a car I feel I am driving blind lol )

Also how can you tell if the adaptive lights are working as mine don't seem to move when cornering? ( they do dip when you first start the car )

Car was checked with Vagcom last week and has no faults showing?

Cheers :)

If you lower your car you will need to have your headlights re-aligned.

you can test normal xenons for up & down using VCDS, perhaps with adaptives have an option for left & right too?

No probs will get the hight checked

Is the move from left to right when turning very noticeable? When I turn on a corner the lights just stay in line with the car?

If I was stationary and turned tge wheel in full lock would they still move?

It does a dance at car start for n/s/e/w, so if yours go only n/s then I'd get it onto vcds & adapt them to check its all ok.

As Ewan says, if lowering readapt them to suit.

There is an adapt channel that you san set for showroom mode that can test the adaptives, it will only be noticeable on the country roads, as it wont be noticeable at speed.

Ah right ok,

I don't have vcds but will nip into audi and ask them what they think being as I still got warranty

Sockkkkkk buy vcds & stop lying to yourself, you need it in your life, if you can afford to run the S3, you can certainly afford vcds :p

Ignore that just saw it's £250 ish?

Might have to invest

Considering the hassle of going to audi etc, surely thats a no brainer :)

On shelf, ready to post tomorrow for tuesday delivery.

Lol I will remember that but got a couple of other things to buy first :)

Just to clarify the above point which I don't think has been answered - adaptive lights don't turn when car is stationary, they only work above about 10mph, so you can't test on the driveway.

Are you sure you have adaptive lights, sounds to me like you don't tbh. They should do the side to side test when first turning on and you can definitely tell when driving in the dark, infact it's pretty weird at first!

Well it was advertised with adaptive lights when I bought it but never thought to check?

They go up and down when I first start the car but not left to right?

Just check the part number on the headlight labels under bonnet, that will advise us.

Ok so I hope this is the part number? 8P0 041 003 AA

Don't know if it helps but I took a picture of the lights too?

Mine say 003 passenger side and 004 drivers side? Do your do the N S E W dance on start up?

Yes mate they both drop down then side to side and then back up!

Oh right, well that's cleared that up

Bit ****** off it was advertised with the adaptive lights but hey ho, just one thing less to go wrong lol
