Fitting coilovers

So, my first major Mod is to fit some coilovers to the S3

I have searched but can't find any info on the actual process so what I'm wondering is there anything specific I need to know?

I have fitted loads of springs on Mondeos so not worried but never done anything on a quattro so any tips/or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated

Don't forget to disconnect the Zenon level sensors!
And reconnect again after.
They can easerly be broken.
And use a good spring compresser, to many people get hurt doing this job!

Which ones you get mate? I got the non adjustable ones?

How do they feel ?

no worrys mate its not for the S3 but its for the same mk golf so shoud in theory be similar ish to yours i would have thought at least it gives you an idea how to do it eh buddy , i didnt have anything like this when i did mine i did mine all by myself without seeing anything done them in the end tho lol
 
Lol on a side note, I also "fitted" my first little mod, the air freshener N8 very generously sent to me.

Car smells lovely now :wub:
 
Indeed , mum asked me for one but I told her they won't fit a Vauxhall lmao
 
OK so all being well the Collies' will be going on this weekend so as an after thought,

Is there any other bits I should check when I got the car in bits or signs of wear and tear to look out for?

With my lack of knowledge I want to try and give myself a head start on any potential problems down the line :)
 
top mounts front and rear my front ones have just let go or one of them anyway so the other side shouldnt be far behind lol , also front anti-roll bar links

bought one of those Audi manual disc thingys from ebay the other day but for some reason my laptop wont let me upgrade to windows 7 ultimate ( got home premium at the min but got a disc to upgrade ) so I got to sort that so I can atleast have a bit better idea of things lol
