im currently working on a mk5 GTI full longlife service, brand new wheels and tyres(wheels are buckled and cracked) new brakes all round, full scans, data logging, removal of warning lights on dash, new MAF, new window switches and door handle, new CV boots and then its in for the correction detail exterior and inside detail including engine bay and even this will not even complete the car as it has lots of problems with it. i know it sounds like im a mechanic but im not lol its actually in for a detail but the owner wants other things which we provide aswel such as the servicing etc

this car is going to take 2 weeks to complete and even then it wont be complete as there are lots of things that need doing but this will be done over the next coming months.

well i thought id share with you pics of the interior so you can see what im up against, this is just a teaser and full write up shall be coming soon.

but enjoy these pics for now :)

took out the seats so i could get to the extent of the mess

Thats a good project, something to get your teeth into and much better than a tidy car as the transformation is night and day Grant

Man, that thing is FOUL. One of the worst I've seen... Good luck with it mate!

Looks rotten, how could you let it get to that state
Going to be a long job, but at least at the end you'll be able to look back with a massive sense of accomplishment

Keep us updated !

not my GTI mate, a customer of ours and ive asked myself a few times how someone with a car like this can let it get so bad

cant wait for the turnaround myself so keep an eye out for this one lads

It looks like a flooded car usually does :)

just an update of what ive been doing. cleaned the interior and this is what i had out of the carpets. no its not a pint of guiness*

well it looks a little better now

once both sides were done i gave it a final hoover to remove odds and ends that came up from deep inside the carpets, cleaned all centre console whilst seats were out, rears were done aswel which uncovered sweets stuck to the seats and melted, put it this way ive come across a sock, sand, egg shell, used wet chewing gum, melted boiled sweets, white paint(what a ****** to try and remove) pink thing melted into carpet on passenger side, 16 fag ends etc so you can have a little guess at what i was up against on this interior

It's a pet hate of mine seeing cars left in such a state especially when I'm collecting hirer cars. Can't understand why people use their cars as basically a rubbish bin considering they spend silly amounts on brand new cars!

Best of luck sorting it though - gotta have some patience to say the least. I dread to see the state of the outside nevermind the inside.

just as bad on the outside mate, paint work is in serious bad condition and its not even under lights yet. i dread to see what we have to correct. i do love a challenge though

Looks like a brand new carpet mate. The end result should be great. Looks like it may take you a while tho.
I dont see how people can let their cars get so dirty, just pure lazziness if you ask me.

That's unreal. I just couldn't imagine driving around in a car in that state! I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing the final result on this one. Looks like the owner's been sawing some wood on the back seat whilst smoking a pack of fags and eating really crumbly baguettes for lunch!

WOW!!!!

What the hell is going on there.....that is terrible, I mean mine is a state at the mo and the missus thinks it looks ok...but I think even she would have something to say about that....lol!!!

Good luck with that dude....looking forward to the pics :)

People just don't look after cars at all - it's appaling :(

What you see in the back seat is sand. Dirt and Sand is everywhere.

Unbelievable I thought it was a mark 1 or 2 Golf not a "nearly new" one and i cracked up at the sock in the 1st picture!!!
Good luck with it and can't wait to see the results
Hope your hard work gets well rewarded

me too mate, this car ahs everything in it. paint work is shocking mate, took a sample pic last night and its that bad i cant get a decent picture, it all looks hazy as the paint is in dire straits

poor quality pictures but this was just top show someone on the GTI forum the state of the car. not doing the detail until new wheels are opn with tyres, and new maf has to be installed.

on a good note, the wheels have arrived, new maf has arrived so we are on course. just nerw tyres needed and then its game on

Damn thats the worst state ever seen any car in thats on the road tbh, dare I ask if the driver is also looking like the car, you gonna detail them aswell :)

Tell them the truth G. You been eating ur lunch in there again!!

lol
G i had to think quick after your last freestyle outburst!!

Daz im the same - aslong as its wet and alcoholic!!!!!
