Thought I would share some Mods and Detailing that might be Useful.....

The latest was a Head Lamp polish......

Been wanting to do this for a while ..... and a mate did a test with " Cutting Compound "
I was happy with the result.....

1) Mask around the Headlight on the body Paintwork to avoid damaging the paint....
(I didn't as I was wanting to see if it would do the job before masking etc....)
The best would be to remove the Headlight.

2) Apply paste by hand ....literally....you loose the effectiveness and more product using a cloth
(absorbs) I put a Surgical Glove on....worked well....

3) Using Circular motions rub the Lens...... I had a small container of Fresh water to hand and added a
bit of water as the paste started drying....

4) Thereafter rinse off with water....

5) I then applied Sctrach X....Finishing with Mcquires Cleaning Polish....
(I am sure there are better finishing products out there.....but that is all I had to Hand)

Very pleased with the result but will do 2 more applications and finish with the right product......

The Pics are misleading..... The difference is really noticeable....

Way easier than using water-paper etc and I suspect the result is similar if not Better.

What led's are you using in your park/sidelight bulb, they look very affective, i am looking to change my sidelite led's to ones a little brighter

The pnes i use are single led, maybee i should look at the multi led ones, i just prefered the look of the single ones when they are off, they look more like a normal bulb

I have recently become the proud owner of an s8 D2

Besides being an awesome vehicle my primary reason fot the purchase is so that I can take the Cab
off the road for a year and Restore it.... I plan to strip it down...refurbish and re-fit including some
upgrades on the motor, suspension etc...

As both these vehicles are rather scarce in SA I'm gonna be a pest for Advice and Info....

Thanx in Advance
