The current advice for tuned cars is to use the standard plugs, but change every 5000 miles or so....this seems to have worked pretty well on mine so far.

Oil...go again with a good quality long life synthetic(Castrol Edge or Mobil 1),but change more regularly than the standard schedule,so 5000 miles is a good guide, when you have the plugs changed.

The 3 year plan can be pretty good value if you get the right price deal, and ensures you're covered from the warranty angle although the work you've had done will invalidate that anyway.

Why do you need to reset the service light?...haven't you just had the car remapped etc?

And on that...how's the car going?

tbh, dealer prices on consumables like spark plugs and oil is a joke too. Audi Swindon want £95 for 5 litres of oil and another £60 to put it in. I'm fine with the labour charge, but I'm supplying my own oil!

My 07 S3 will be happy with any oil that meets VW 504 00 according to the manual (Both variable and fixed). Look on the back of the bottle, most big manufacturers like Shell, Mobil etc will have it there. However, the manual says nothing about viscosity...

s3 alex hi its saying need service in 500 miles so wanted to change pluss oil and oil filter next week and i rember on my old audi you use to do sonthing with the key and the button on the dash to to reset the display that tells you u need a service

On a car that new,and under warranty,I'd take it back to the dealer and just get it serviced as directed.

They'll do the oil and whatever other bits are required, and the plugs you can either get done there,or at AMD the next time you're near as it's not a long job.

As far as I know, there is nothing on the dash/key to reset the indicator, and you need this doing for you....most dealers are not bothered by cars that have been mapped etc, although if anything breaks, you know you won't get help on any modified areas.

Mine was in recently having a routine service, and they clearly knew it had been slightly modified....the only question was how much power, which was quite amusing.

If you're getting a misfire or something similar, there are a lot of causes, but plugs and coilpacks are the most common...on yours, fuelling should not be an issue as you have the HPFP fitted, and strictly speaking, you shouldn't need an RS4 fuel pressure regulator at Stg2+ either.

You need to get registered and posting over at the other forum....!...then you can see the threads and the builds.

Apart from the turbo.....quite a bit incl the obvious like HPFP,ITG intake, modified induction and exhaust systems,RS4 fuel pressure regulator, and so on...

Power.....about 440bhp and 420lbs of torque....don't forget that even with a good aftermarket intercooler, you will lose a bit on hot days, and that the RR thing is always a bit of a lottery.

Much more than that, and you would be at the point where you need to get the internals done,to bring down the compression ratio and toughen up the bottom end,or you'll end up with either bent rods or holed pistons......I would also rather have a useable 450bhp than a screamer that only delivers at high rpm.

What you want is to see the gains you get on the SAME rolling road before and after a set of mods has been done, and having a couple of cars with this sort of power/weight ratio before,I think the figures are about right.

what the other forum site and thats what im aiming for the 420 to 450 mark what clutch are you using?

I put quite a bit of information on there for you....

I've already said that I've got a Sachs, and that most of us use that, but there is also the Helix and the Southbend, but the latter takes a SMF and that will give you lots of vibration and harshness.

The other site is VAGOC....come on over, make a few posts, and find a few others with cars like this.

well as its in a hot engine bay its going to happen, next week im going to be wrapping mine in this stuff:

REFLECT-A-GOLD - TD010394 1.5"X15ft ROLL

not sure if you will need one or 2 rolls, when you had your TBE fitted should have wrapped the exhaust in some titanium heat wrap as that keeps a lot of heat out the engine bay as well
