Is this car a sport?

I am planning to have a look at this motor but it just does not look very sporty. I have checked the reg and it is a sport.

I have noticed that some sport's look excellent and others look like standard cars.

Any ideas why this looks like a normal A4.

it is hard to say with out seeing inside it i have a sport and on the out side looks just like that one well did befor i put door blades on it
 
I thought that sports were supposed to look sweet. This car is missing something.

Are the blades not standard on the sport? If not are they easy to put on?

I have added interior pictures. It is defo a sport though.

this probably is a sport but i bet you are picturing in your mind the very late 03 and 04 cars with the full gmbh kit . i have an 04 avant sport it as door blades different lower bumpers and different lower grills and a spoiler on the rear hatch theres loads of them about and worth finding and in my humble oppinion look a lot more car for the money

I think your right mate. Thats the one's I keep thinking about. Will cancel this one and keep looking.

I think more / majority of sport after 53 plate had the gmbh kit which makes it more sporty with different front, rear and sides

Those years you show I think started with colour coded bumpers as the years before sport were similar without colour coding

Sport model has three spoke steering wheel which is another way to tell
 
It's a sport.

All quattros are sports equiped unless otherwise specced IIRC.
Also that one has sports seats and seats so i would say 99% it is a standard sport with no extra body kit etc

Some people do mark the votex kit as a sport kit, same for the GMBH so i have to think thats what you are thinking of
 
i think you might be getting the Sport version confused with the S-Line version, the Sports where produced before the S-Line's were.

as far as I know the differences between the Sport and the S-Line are the body kit and the suspension

this is a S-Line: Audi A4 S-Line
 
I would like the S-Line kit but they dont do it on the 2.5 tdi quattro. Stick up some pics of your motor mate,

How many kits did Audi do on the 2.5 tdi Quattro Sports?

This thread has been very informative guys. Will help find the right car.

id not rule out the sports one over the s.line as to be fair it is just the boddy kit that is not the same so look at both and see how much you save on the sport over the s.line maybe worth you buying a sport and with some of the cash you save but the kit on it your self for around 500 ish plus panting may just be worth it
 
Sports and S-Lines have the same body kit. S-Lines are late model sports fitted with the 1.8T 190 engine, and a few extra's such as door badges, peforated leather steering wheel and stainless kick plates to name just three.

The GMBH (or S-Line style) body kit was fitted to Sport's as standard from mid 2003 on.

I'm at work so can't view the pictures, but prior to this the only visual exterior difference between an SE and a Sport is the 20mm lower suspension, the early Sports had the same 16" wheels etc.

S-Line was only available on the 1.8T, but all late model "Sport" models look very, very similar to the S-Line (save for some minor trim such as badges and door sills) as those late model Sports had what we would now call the S-Line body kit.

It is worth getting the Sport model that's a late 03 onwards that has the body kit you are after rather than retro-fitting as they're a little overpriced to retro-fit!!! (£1500+)

Mine is definitely a quattro Sport and it had bland grey lowers and 16" alloys as factory fit; the S4 alloys + S-Line kit was afters - also had Xenon's as standard on those earlier models, so I can't complain :D

And yes: the model that you indicated above IS a sport: aftermarket reps make it a little difficult to be certain, but the stance looks about right plus 3 spoke wheel and Sport seats, so it's likely to be the real deal, but obviously just an early 03 manufacture, hence the more tame looking non-S-Line body kit.
 
you could always just dp what i did on my old motor,
it was a 51 (2001) se, with the gray lowers, no rear lip or anything,
so i got the lower sills painted black (same as the car), fitted a thunder front lower bumper, got a boot spoiler off the bay (£39.99)
then came the twin exit pipes (same as a 1.8t ect) then an oem lower bumper off a quattro , all sprayd black,
completly changed thr look of the car, pluss stuck some led runing lights in the bottom of the bumper and some alloy mirrors of the bay and away you go!
did cost a bit tho:uhm:
 
i did the same... but all OEM S-Line kit, inc door blades, etc... and the same for the interior (leather FBMFSW, RNS-E, etc)..... NOT cheap!
