Best shine for your money

Would massively recommend reading the detailing section of this forum as many posts are from professional detailers who give advice specific to the colour of your car.

Having read the threads i now use the following

Meguiars Nxt generation wash
Meguiars clay bar
Meguiars Nxt generation wash
Dry using waffleweave towel
Blackfire paint protection
Blackfire polish
Nattys blue paste wax

Had a feeling I wasn't the only one obsessed with making my car stupidly shiny

Valentines road and track £45 quid! It's so easy to work with and durable

This is mental by the way....the wet look is working for me

Oh and I posted here rather than the detailing section because I thought most would have similarly aged cars and I had a feeling that the info would get pretty intense over there.....I'm after shine but I'm not spending 2 days straight wax-on wax-offing

Just bought an Autoglym kit for a starter. I hear good things!

I don't like auto HD find it hard to put on and off! The valentines wax is easy worked with and quick curing time!

Muy experience with AutoGlym products isn't good I'm afraid. Hard to put on well and the SRP goes all chalky when trying ti buff off leaving loads of white dust particles going back over the car.

Poorboys and Chemical Guys products have always worked well for me.

If you are getting this problem with SRP it normally means you are using too much. About two smartie sized drops on an applicator pad is enough at a time. Once worked in it should leave just a light haze that buffs off easily without loads of dust.

I used to suffer this problem until joining detailing world and reading the feedback on using it properly. I now realise I must have wasted loads over the years!

I use Bilt Hamber mate.. its good, and you only need water to lubricate it (couldnt type the word lube without laughing...)

No seriously though, they do an Autoglym kit, so you have everything you need, but Ive always used Bilt Hamber.. and everyone seems to rate it, so give it a bash!

I also use the Bilt Hamber, can't fault it.

OOh ok I'm gonna get a clay bar kit, any ideas which is the best one?

If your going to clay your car it is really adviced that you polish it afterwards and a machine polish is the best way as claying can and will cause marring of your paint buddy.

The Key to the finish is not the wax its all in the prepwork for the wax.

I was a little disappointed after reading the topic, i thought you ment something different. Anyways, i find autosmart mirror image is excellent in my opinion. Especially on black cars!
