Hi all,

firstly, as a newcomer I should just say the forums seem great!

and now to my issue....
I'm a first time Audi owner as of about 4 months ago. I've started low on the price bracket (which I'm sure will change!) with a '08 sportback SE (8P2).

Problem obviously is that the 16" alloys are horrific!

I was hoping some of you kind folk could help me out with deciding on (and finding for that matter) some replacements

Ideally I'm looking for OEMs but the only decent ones I'm finding are well over £500 which is a bit pricey for me at the minute

My existing wheels...

Simple 17"s?

or RS4s if I can find them anywhere cheap enough??

Any thoughts would be more than welcome!

Cheers,
Andy

The bottom ones!!!! Although OEM ones will set you back quite abit. Many people hate reps and i haven't had any personal experience with them but they are a cheaper option and apparently some arent as bad as they used to be.

Welcome .If you are after Rs4 you will need more cash for OEM new.
Personally if i had £500 spare i would get trawling ebay piston heads e38. bargains can be had .Right time right place kind of bargains

I may have a set of 18 inch s line wheels coming up for sale mate if i can get my hands on a set of new wheels myself!

If your going to go for RS4 18s your gonna need to lower the car or she gonna be on 4x4 stance.
If you got £500 to spend save a little extra and as said check edition 38, pistonheads wheel whores for some alloys. And if im honest no point changing the alloys you have now to either of the two other standard alloys in the first two photos.
Good luck

Wow, that's some quick work guys!

I think you're probably right though - If I want some decent OEMs I guess I'm going to have to loiter around the interweb for a while until the right ones pop up for the right price

I hadn't even thought about lowering it. Does it look crap on 18s without it or is it more of a necessity?

And the rims in the first pics are the ones I already have.....nice aren't they?!

I've also noticed a much better range coming off of A4's. Will the A4 wheels fit ok on my A3?

Thanks!

Most will fit just be careful that the offset isn't less than ET42, A4 wheels are often 8j vs 7.5j for the A3, this will require careful tyre choice if you don't want rubbing if you lower the car or don't want the "stretched" look

Yes will have a big arch gap lol.
Haha im currently running them now! While i wait for some cash for new 18" tyres. Not my favourite alloys lol

Thanks guys. Cleared a lot of the issues up now

Guess I need to actually find the wheels now!
