5/30 oil ....

I just bought Castrol Edge the other day for mines (8P S3) was expensive though, £47 for 4L from Halfrauds!

Castrol Edge is what I would use 5w30. As said the supermarkets are selling it now at good prices...

I see it all the time at my VW part department, would have thought Audi use the same. Its also a bit cheaper, £25 for 5 litres. I asked just to make sure it wasn't a crappy oil, since most people here seam to use Castrol.
If its much better then I might be swayed to use Castrol, but if Quantum Synta Platinum is sold at the dealers and fairly cheap i dont see why people would need to buy more expensive oil?

People, myself included like to top up the oil with whats already in there. If your doing an oil change then you can use what you like as the engines are the same across the board...
Either Castrol Edge or SLX on a 5/30 viscosity for bkd engine, I personally wouldnt run anything else.
