As the title states is it just the case of changing the springs for lower ones??

it thats the way you want to go them yes
or coils

just want it lowered mate

Get H&R springs on there own mate, £185 from DPM, trust me.

yes OG was looking the H&R's there under £150 on german ebay :) seen guy on here got them for his b7 lowered 45mm. looked the business..

Golf24v or something like that?? black avant, his is quattro, 2wd springs are only 35mm but look the same, if your going lower than 35mm you should really change your dampers aswell or so they say.

you running 19"s on s-line springs then? whats that look like?

Im sure they will be sound mate, everyone says they wont hack more than 35mm but i personally think they will be fine, im on AP's springs and shocks anyway so it doesn't matter to me.

yea youve a super upgrade mate! ill lower and add a rear RS4 ARB as have red on here its a great upgrade

Thats the same german seller i bought the springs for mine.

That's the guy! Not quite a super mod mate I'm not happy with how it's sat so I'm changing rear springs for weitec 50mm ones, should be sat Pretty sweet then.
I'm also tempted by RS4 anti roll bar, have read very good things about it.

Pics when your springs come in!!! :)

Just lowered my 3.0tdi quattro with the H&R springs(45mm drop) from german ebay. Arrived very quickly and alot cheaper than uk sellers. Must say im really impressed with them, definately comfier than the s-line springs.

A few quick pics showing drop. Taken on my phone after a quick wash.

Aw mate that looks awesome, much better than standard.

Cant wait to get mine sat down abit more, I hate arch gap!!!!

splitter is a nice fit too mate! keep up the good work.

Cheers mate. Trying to decide on wheels. Want lm reps just can't decide 18 or 19 inch. Love the look of 19s but enjoying the comfort of the 18s at the minute. Only had the car a few months but must say I'm very impressed with it. Biggest concern for me before buying was the performance drop from coming from a 400bhp evo.

You must buy 19"s mate, I had the same problem as you and went with 18"s, the problem is because there dished they can look really small, 19"s look perfect, there are pics of S-lines on both 18 & 19"s on site if you search them youll see what i mean.

is the performance not miles better with the damper upgrade??

PMK looks sweet mate, what do you mean comfyer than the sline?? i think sline is too soft as it is. are you saying there softer? i was lead to believe they were firmer??

They are not softer, just found that the standard s-line suspension was quite crashy on bumps. They definately help the cars handling, with the benefit of not being so crashy.

The performance is much improved with the new dampers but i dont drive like a demon, iv had cars for that, this is my pimped out cruising bus :)

The S-line suspension is quite firm, i had Fk coilovers that were wound right down and they were smoother to ride than s-line.

i'm looking at lowering mine on eibach springs, are these any good?

They are from what I hear but again I would go with H&R, bit cheaper, much smoother, better build and the stance speaks for itselfs.

I think the Eibachs are abit firm?

ok cheers for the advice. need them to be more comfortable with the milage i do every week.

Am I correct in thinking 2wd HR springs are 35mm and Quattro are 45mm but when installed both look the same? Only ask as I too want the look of Golfs but am aware his is 4wd and mine is 2wd.

Any helps appreciated

Thanks

What mm drop do you need on a A4 S-Line? I want to lower my S-Line but heard that there's a certain drop you need to see a difference?

Is 45mm all round any good?

Sounds like the way to go, as i mentioned before the 45mm springs on a quattro such as golfs look outstanding but the 45mms are not avalible for the FWD Audi models only 35mm. Anyone got pics of a lowered Audi on HR 35mm?

Seem like a popular mod.

Einonsy do you have pics of the new look??

Einansy - are yours the Eibach Pro kit or Sport kit?

I understand the sport kits drops ot a little further but is a harsher ride?

Thinking of lowering myself and was looking at AMD Essex as they seem to have a decent offer for my quattro S line at £350 inc labour and the all important alignment. Seems like a decent deal as i've heard the front springs are time consuming to change.

What springs are they offering at that price?
