My S3 Black Edition on Pistonheads.

Dude you didnt have it long. Why the sale? and maybe best to sell your car as standard?
 
I have dangerous driving and payed the big insurance premium the first year but the thought of paying that kind of money again has made me consider selling up. I could take my car back to standard but if it does not sell i will be keeping my car at stage 2+ as it is great. I don't want the hassle of taking everything off then having to put it back on if it does not sell. I don't need to sell up just could think of better ways of spending 3k than giving it away to insurance companies.

Dude I have payed alot for insurance over the years but 3k is pushing it. No wonder your selling up. Good luck with sale!
 
haha i wish, dont think i can justify much atm with whats happening with the car, debating if i can afford a short-shifter but may just leave it till next round of work
 
It's gotten this bad the modding game that I'm struggling to justify spending money on a pair of shoes so I can save....how sad. Right need some fresh air! Off for a drive to a mates!

I told my gf I'm planning on buying a £1200 exhaust today. She put the phone down. Probably cause I also told her we were going to have to go on holiday in July rather than march 5 mins earlier :keule:

I think you will struggle at that price. I'm not one for doom n gloom but I struggled at first with mine and mine was a fully loaded 6,500 mile 2010 car!!!

I think you need to look at the price and maybe look at around 27-28k max.

Agree with Dave (and his was a pretty special example!). I'm looking to chop mine in now i've got the bimmer and get a 4 year old S4 instead of the S3 for daisy duke (boot isn't big enough for her shopping trips), mine is 10k and about the same spec and standard, not going to get anywhere near £29k.

A new one will be higher spec, get RNSe as standard etc and brand new for £31.5, and most will get a 5-11% discount off of that so pretty much what you're asking.

I guess somebody may pay extra to have the mods?

Yes I know it's gutting, but sell now before the 11 reg comes out! It annoyed the hell out of me but on a 2010 car you should be selling anywhere from 26.5k to 27995 max. Mine was fully spec'd and only really had 2 interested buyers in 3 months.

Problem is new s3's come better equipped although your paying for it in the bigger price. I lost around 5k on mine in around 12 months!

l know of a 2010 S3 with 2000 miles on the clock. SB. The guy asked the dealers what they would give him for it , £24k.
 
unfortunate but bang on, i think the level for these cars seems to be the classic 2 and half, 3 year mark..... which is why i wont lift my budget to accommodate a 59 plate S tronic S3 up for £25k at Norwich Audi, 58's are knocking on the door of sub 20k now..... from then on its looks like they lose approx 2k pa based on the pre faces and what they are going for now
 
I too am thinking about selling the S3 as I need more doors. I've looked about and think I'll go for an S3 SB, but try and get a MY11 one.

I've had buckets in the previous 2 S3's and would love them again, but no SB's with buckets kicking about. I may go for standard seats, but get S Tronic instead of manual. This could potentially be my 3rd S3! I'm almost as bad as DaveS3Turbo!

Mine is a 2010 BE also, Sprint, buckets, rear sensors, auto lights wipers with 7.5k on the clock. Got offered £24.5k from a dealer as a p/x. Not sure I could wait 3 months or so for a buyer if I found the right car, and so would also stand to lose a chunk. Seems to be par for the course though unless you've time on your hands, but I need the new car before March as I'll be chauffeuring the wee one to nursery. Looks like I'll be set to lose anything I made on the 13% discount I got on this one.

Im just glad I didnlt buy the cayman S I own now at full price circa £50K

Maybe a little better after a year or so, but they made a BIG point of telling me that I'm screwing myself if wanting to change it now. Smug? Just a little bit. I've no choice really, baby seat and buckets in a 3 door doesn't really work despite what some say. Unless of course you take the baby out through the boot.

Phil, I'll need to leave the buckets in the car on this one I'm afraid. I need everything I can get bro!
 
You will easily get around £27K. But going higher reduces your saleability unless its unique. I struggled, bad time of year and that. I needed the Porsche asap though so had to reduce to sell as mine was really saleable at around £28.5K

One of thing, concentrate on Pistonheads. The ratio compared to autotrader was silly. I probably had 90% off pistonheads. I would put yours on at £26,995.

mate i'd have it in a heart beat even though it's not S tronic, its everything i am after otherwise,colour etc... only missing the folding mirrors.....you'd get more trade than what i want to pay though fella ;) good luck with the sale

rico's S3 is one of the best in existence... i love it so :wub: if i werent moving id even consider swapping mine in for it... :drool:

Just this minute waved goodbye to mine :( now searching the classifieds vigorously for the replacement - must stand firm!! S tronic or nothing.... 22k budget if anyone spots anything, figure the majority of the depreciation hit will have been taken, although at that im gonna be looking at 58/09
