Hi all I have a bog standard 2001 A3 1.8 T bit skint at the moment but do have £300 for some performance upgrades.

Engine mods or some newer wheels as they would be lighter.

I'm not interested in ICE of spoilers.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

exactly what quattro1's just said: maybe a forge diverter valve just to spend another £83.00. Then £17.00 to buy some quality racing air-freshners.

Custom-Code Phase 1 remap is (or was) £312. This will be the best bang for buck.

R-Tech are cheaper and very good if you're close enough to them.

Cheers all, was thinking might as well go the Re-map way, but I'm in Manchester heard good things about R-tec but is abit far anyone.

Know of anywhere closer.

Go faster stripes! + 15BHP increase guaranteed

On a serious note, get some coilovers and deck it!! ;)

yeh it sorta depends weather u want to pick up speed on the straights or to go round corners better, you can get coilies for FWD a3's for about 200 quid on ebay and will help handling no end, then you would have enough money left over to buy one of these little bad boys! Fake Blow Off Valve Turbo Sound Whistler BOV Exhaust on eBay (end time 25-Dec-10 12:24:52 GMT)

cause everyone knows thats where the real power can be had!! lol

but yeah, the left over cash you'll have could almost get you a front mount intercooler, or a forge TIP, you could get all the parts for stage 2 before you go for a remap, and i just thought, what engine have you got?

you put it on your exhaust, add fairy dust.....magic happens and then it falls off and goes through someones windscreen when your going down the motorway :salute:

badger 5 TIP c. £160 - I gained 25+bhp

good luck with a 3" tip on an AGU. The spacing is **** and the forge one only just about fit with me cutting off 2cm. dunno what its like on the AUM.

revo still doing that £200 remap offer? since they have em all ove the country its probably the best for him. or maybe that JBS deal forge 007p, panel filter and remap for £350 was it? worth a pop also

Sorry chaps 'Must read post properly :keule:

Thanks all Looks like a remap anybody recommed a place within 50 miles of Manchester.

I'd go with rtech pal, i live in manchester and i took the lump down to see nick and ben at rtech. well impressed with the service and remap. then you can have a smile on your face on the way back.

Another vote for R-tech here, getting great praise on here from all who have been to them regardless of the travel, and they will come to you and do it within a certain area for a fee (maybe not as far as you) ??

Remap is definately the best way to go!!
