My Telephone Prep bluetooth has recently stopped working. My phone can see no bluetooth devices at all when I switch on the ignition. I am getting this code in VCDS:

Anybody had this before and know how to fix it? Defective control module does not sound too good :(

I have been through all the adaption settings as per this link and they appear to be set correctly:
Audi A3 (8P) Telephone Preparation - Ross-Tech Wiki

I tried testing and saving each adaption value and it did not make a difference.

Thanks in advance for any help :beerchug:

Have you retro fitted RNS-E, or is it all OEM factory fit kit?

Defective control module doesn't sound good - sounds expensive. Bet it's in a sh1tty place to replace too.

First port of call would be to check the fuses in the end of he dash, if that fails hope JohnS3 is about!

My voice control has stopped working and I haven't got round to fixing it, need to look at it this weekend.

^^^ It is an OEM factory fit and has always worked fine up to a few weeks ago. Will check the fuses thanks for that. My voice control did have a fault code against it as well saying it could not communicate with the telephone control module.

The module for the blue tooth is located under the passenger seat, under the carpet.

Seat out and carpet up job im afraid

Phone module in mine died completely earlier this year, shorting out and drawing a solid 1A from the battery, flattening it completely. RAC tried pulling every fuse but couldn't stop the draw so I had to drive it around for half an hour to get some juice in the battery, then park up on the drive and disconnect the battery so there was enough juice to start it in the morning and get to the dealer!

Whole phone module was fried and needed replacing.

It sure is, not as bad as it sounds though....seen the modules sell for around £100 on ebay if it is ******

Did you check which codes you were seeing in VCDS? I am still hoping that I will not need to replace the module...

Question, and apologies this isn't moving your case forward, but wondering if mine may be going the same way.

When you activated a call on the bluetooth system, were you getting an almighty buzzing sound through the car speakers for a split second ahead of the call starting. Mine started with this, and now I can no longer make voice commands on the system. Wonder if it's fried the vocal electronics in my box, and eventually it will just pack up.

Cheers,
W

Hi Warrem, Nope did not get that at all. Mine just seems to have all of a sudden died. Am wondering if it is worth a trip to Audi as it is only a month out or warranty?

Even if they go 50/50 with you it's better than nothing. Sometimes you can get away with it if you've been a FSH customer.

Hello, sorry for digging this dead thread but:

Can you help me please with this wiring for the oem telephone ? I got the the wires out because I guessed the wrong socket and in my stupidity I didn't take a picture before and I don't know were every wire in what pin has to be.

It's factory fitted. Audi A3 2008 Concert 3
