Hi,

Don't know wether i'm excited or upset about my car swap!

Having had my 3.2 for over 3 yrs it's going and getting replaced with a 130i M-Sport.

Not sure I,ve chosen the right car (I'm not keen on the looks as yet but hoping it will grow on me!) but was abit bored and after a change.

I will be on here still I presume and hope someone careful gets my old car!!!

jokin... lovely engine in that 130! sounds sweet.. mums got a 125 m sport conv which has the 3.0 shes also got the bmw performance exhaust on it.. sounds shweettt.... :wub:
 
Dont really blame you J, the 3.2 is a nice car but its also a disaster waiting to happen. If you get out without needing a second mortgage you did well :)
 
Hahaha yeah they do seem to be abit of a worry!!

The 130 seemed to be just as quick but better on fuel. I have grown to love the 4x4 tho ........ Think I might have to be very gentle until I get used to it!
 
They are not that bad but with any modern engine If it goes wrong it normally costs!

One series has to be one of the ugliest cars on the road, that is along with all other BMW`S. They do not have a good looking car throughout the whole range.
However, you are getting rid of a pretty bad example of an Audi as well.

that's a little unfair. i could be won over by a Z4
 
The usual narrow minded response from the 8P section, the 130i M Sport actually looks pretty good and not dis-similar to the sportback. I guess it's like all cars and spec/colour dependant but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if Edition likes it then fair play.

I must like them as I have just bought another myself !

I needed a car that would get me off the modification roller coaster for a while but also provide me with a good driving experience - the 130 ticks all the boxe and offers good value for money, plus it's a hoot on track, great soundtrack, rear wheel drive and sublime balance.

Don't knock them until you have driven one, you might think a mates Mrs is a bit of a minger but ihe probably won't thank you for telling him, some opinions are best unsaid - especially if the poster has already committed to purchase - we all know how nervous you get after signing on the dotted line :)

Wouldnt say that quite so sweeping! My response wasnt so narrow minded!!
 
I think the 3 series coupe is a street ahead of the A5 which is almost a lorry !!

Couldn't really care what you think buddy as I presume you haven't driven either?? If I get as much enjoyment out of the bm as I have the Audi I will be chuffed to bits!

ok fair to say BMW make some mingers.. but come on!!! you telling me the M3 is ugly?? Audi make some massive mingers too.. a7, a5 sportback :puke2:(sorry if anyone owns one of these no offence meant)

couldnt agree more, there are always so right wrong cars in each line up, i would love to have an M3 (new shape) or a Z4 (new shape) as i think they are gorgeous both inside and out, if only i could afford them i would have prob got one of them instead, but you cant beat and S3 for bang for buck
 
Got it! Well chuffed seems mint body wise and inside is like it has never been sat in!!

Drives lovely as well although I haven't openned it up.

Sounds so different to the Audi!!!! The Audi had a lovely raspy kind of bark to it and the Bmw seems to have a smoother bark to it.

Will have to see how I get on but happy so far but felt sad letting the Audi go!

theres one of them special edition white M3 coupes at my nans flats (where im stayin at the moment) and it is just stunning in every way.. every morning i look at it and say to myself one day please god.. they are also fu**in rockets!!!

Glad your enjoying it :) I like the 1 series but only if its M sport.

Best of luck Jonathon, sad to see you move away but I know how you feel as regards potential wallet sapping expenditure! Love my 3.2 but I always feel I'm on borrowed time regarding the next big bill!!................. Not changing it though!!
Will have to meet up sometime for a look before the snow comes and leaves you stranded haha!!!
 
Great engine! I used to have a e92 330i and it sounded amazing.

Was very very tempted by a 135i coupe recently.

Jonathon ! keep us posted, i could very easily be persuaded down a similar route. The thought of having a guarantee and never setting foot in a Audi dealers again appeals :)
As for 4 wheel drive and the ability to get to work when everyone else stays at home in the snow ?? Guess i would just have to stay at home !! tough but i can take it :)

im off to evolve tomorrow and they normally work on bmw's so will be interesting to see what they have got sat around when i rock up haha
