cheers Paul:thumbsup:

Sorry can't answer your q but I hope it's a lot because I'm getting mine flashed down at Statler, extreme+ file though I wonder if this is any different to extreme?

Steve was sayng extreme+ was a map made by GIAC in conjuntion with Statler...

By the way did Jim mention anything about you not needing your RS4 fuel pressure reg valve? when I went to have mine fitted along with the autotech pump he said to me I didn't need it so we left it off then when I spoke to Statler they said I did....

Are you keeping your car now Craig? Last time I heard you were selling up??

Back on topic, I think Wes is running the GIAC extreme plus map. He has the Suzuka grey S3.

no he didnt say anythin bout the valve m8, i just told him what i had done, i already fitted mine took me a hour and i also fitted my m8,s too, u should pop down to my rolling road day on the 28th aug if ur close by, see the results???? yeah a couple of people over on cupra forum are running extreme plus 380bhp there sayin??? they also made good times at crail

:) change of circumstances means I can keep the car now for pretty much as long as need be, been in such a good mood the past couple of weeks! Yeah think Wes is going to show me what his car can do soon if he's not busy when I'm down in Manchester

****** hell mate Jim told me it was 3 hours labour you fancy fitting mine?haha
unfortunately the 28th's a Saturday and I'll have a game, would have liked to come as well as it's less than an hour from me!I'll hear all about it though

How you finding the VF Intake?

l had giac extreme on mine before twinter cooler. didnt work well. had fuelling issues so took it of. you will lose one of your map spaces as well on the switching unit. this is why lm looking at changing to revo select+

by any chance did u get ur giac done at star???? jim today was telling me about i guy he put the extreme map on his car and it had fueling issues???

After a travel up to star today and a long chat with jim, i changed my mine, and went for the race map, so now on my controler is race and pump map, with the race map on the car pulls strong with no flat spots, really happy with the power the now intill next month lol, i think i mite see myself traveling down to sheffield to have the extreme plus map flashed on?? i was telling jim today that a had booked a rolling road at the end of the month and he said he wouldnt be rolling roading turboed cars in this weather due to the intake temps???? wasnt really sure if this was rite?? but i will be sure to put up the power graph on the 28th if everythin goes to plan?? gona get them to run it with pumo then race map to see the bhp gain if any????

yeh my vf is great, really happy with the fit, only thing is i moded a k03 vf intake to fit by putting a dv take off on it, bec the k04 intake wasnt out at the time i was looking for a intake, i really like the look of the vf and so thought i would buy it from the USA and mod it lol, everybody says u need a 3inch intake?? mine is 2.75 all the way to the turbo, we will see at the end of the month anyway with the powergraph if 2.75 works, yeah jim was asking me today who fitted mine??? i told him i was a ford tech of 6years so i did it myself in a hour, also did my m8,s too, everybody says its a pain in the a** but its REALLY easy, yeh pop down i will do it for a few beers lol

No offence to Jim but not heard amazing thing about him, trip to Sheffield would def. be worthwhile, Steve's a top lad and v enthusiastic AND knowledgeable about his tuning. And you can see some real civilization while your there Paul!

yeah i know akash, only went up there bec it was close to hand, think there more into mot,s and repairs now, NOT tuning, but am really happy with the way it drives now, i know when i go extreme plus i will be buying time with my clutch and dmf, so i will be needing to get some money put by for this, want to go single mass helix or southbend?? my m8 is fitting a helix kit to his ed30 tomorrow so i will wait and hear what it sounds like at idle before i think of goin down this route????

Im gnna go for a Southbend ...probably Daily Stage 2 ( 410 lb ft torque) overkill for my car but my clutch is giving up the ghost and there same price as the OEM + version..that or a Sachs as FR&R have one also with SMF at a good price. It will also rev much quicker with the SMF.
I don't think you need to worry about the noise on a petrol tbh its more in diesel's where they sound like a bag of spanners!
On a high power 4wd car like these the clutch is deffo the weak point, once tuned you cannot really drop the clutch with too much confidence.
I think Backdraft Import them as they are listed as a dealer, also JBS but heard there aftercare is bollo*.

cant say lm interested in this as with giac and star hasnt been a good trip.

The extreme file is totally different to the extreme + , the later has been delevoped alot more and is the one I have on my car.

The extreme + is similar to revo stage 2+ but requires 3" intake which GIAC say gives more power.

Steve at Statller knows this stuff.
