Seem to have a strange intermittanm fault where I will unlock the car, drive off and have the interior lights flashing and get a strange clicking from the drivers side dash. Following this I will lock it and the alarm will sound after about 30secs. Any ideas? Nothing flagged up when scanned.

Clicking noise can only point towards a relay of some sort, I've had the dashboard go mad with lights blinking all over the place, and that was traced to a dodgy earth wire by the rear sub woofer, but it doesn't sound the same as your problem.
Same problem here started today interior lights flashing and clicking relay soung from dash, alarm triggers once the car is locked????????any one know a fix for this fault????????????????????????

Mine sometime does that if unlock the car with the keyfob by mistake and my alarm is still on. The alarm goes off once im in the car and when i turn it off, the Hazard warning lights flash and the clicking starts. Ive got a Clifford G5.

iv got the same problem, been in to audi four times now still doing it driving me mad! if anyone knows any ideas as to whats causing it or how to fix it??
Its something to do with the door latches. Try slaming both doors and the boot lid. My mates S3 just started doing it yesterday. We found slaming the passenger door shut stopped it clicking and flashing.

we're you in the car at the time? I found that locking it with fob, whether you were in it or not made it stop...
Is your mate going to replace the door catches? Incidentally- do you know if you can use A4 door catches on A/S3's...?

I have found the problem, its to do with some micro switches in the door latch. If you look in there is some white tab thing which i just moved up and down with a flat bladed screwdriver and sprayed some WD40 in. Doubt its a permanent fix though

Yep that was me. It turned out to be the passenger door micro switch. It will either be one of your doors or the boot.

I assume by your 1 word that you mean have I Vagcomed it to see if it thinks the door is open ;-)
I didn't but I can do but I now know that the fault is with the passenger door so I'll attack that at the weekend.

My a4 does the same sort of thing if I disconect the battery and then connect it I have no electric windows. Or c/l or no alarm for about 15 mins then the interior light will start flashing And then when it comes on properly I have all electrics back is this normal after the battery has been reconnected didn't now if it was some sort of time delay
