I was just thinking the same thing Tuft.... I am liking the LED interior light style... Yam has done it in his 8P TDI... Looks like daylight when they are on...
Thing is how would you get the vanity lights out? Lets face it there aint alot of space.
Ha ha ha Legend! I've just sat and read the whole thing.....
Prawn i have alot of time for what you're doing and what you aim to do with it.
Keep it up bud:racer:
You know what i think you are right on that one... I did originally think it must be a small thing like the tyres or due to my car having a seized rear brake caliper for a month or so, but now i've read this, it seems to be not a common fault but a problem the older ones seem to get as age...
Ah i'm not the only one!
Mine does this aswell. It bugs the **** outta me cos i have no idea what it is! Mine vibrates a little not much... sounds like the tyres are just stood still until you pull off straight.
Like a rumble and a small vibration then you straighten up thats it, all gone!
I...
yeah that drive was a pain in the ***, and as for the filthy one..... It was me!
It is nice to see fellow owners, especially when you just stop in the middle of a dual carriage way just to say hello!
In that case i could be wrong... Don't quote me on the 8mm allen key bits then! lol
It's normally an idea to clean where the allen key fits with a think flat blade screwy and the gently tap the key in with a hitting stick.... they can rust abit so when you put them back in, a little copper...
Sory im a dumbass! ive just realised that this is in the 8P section! I have an 8L!
the windback will be the same and as for torque bolts...... non i would say but there will be 8mm allen key bolts on the back of the carrier if you are changing the discs. 13mm spanner to undo the caliper...
Nah i dont know what colour it was but i have been waiting 5 weeks for it to come!
2 of those weeks i wasn't even in the country!
I have, after many phonecalls, finally got a tracking number and at this moment in time it is somewhere on the **** end of a lorry to be delivered Monday im...
To be honest i ****** my brake fluid on the road whilst having a play!
I did however get some uprated fluid. Motul RBF660 i think mine is... Got it from Badger 5.
I would change the fluid for one that has a higher temperature point if you're going to do some track days.
Pulled from the motul...
Hey all,
Just a quick one to see if any of you have heard of a breakers called Essex Car and Van Dismantlers?
They are from Chalmsford in Essex.
Basically the offside rear caliper of my S3 has seized along with the sliders on the hanger and i ordered one from them over 5 weeks ago but guess...
I'm doing mine tomorrow and I keep reading everyone running Vag-Com when bleeding the brakes!
I know the two nipples on the MC have to be done but not too sure of V-C.
Al right Bill it's Herb.
I'm going to bleed my brakes tomorrow (finally) and was wondering where the two bleed nipples on the MC were. Are they on the underside of the fluid reservoir?
And do I need to run Vag-Com when doing it?
Cheers Bill.
