Good morning all On my mk6 golf 2.0 tdi 80,000miles I occasionally get ESP error displaying on dash. Turn ignition on and off a few times and it goes. The car turns but won’t start while this is displayed. I’ve had the codes read and there are none stored? I’ve also checked there are no recalls...

I used a standard long length Allen key, it was just long enough to get enough leverage to nip them up on most and the one that was really awkward had to cut down the shorter part of the key to gain access. I also found I couldn’t gain access with a ratchet. I hope you understand what I mean...

Other than that I believe injector seals can leak so also worth a look.

Oops sorry just realised replied to wrong part of thread. Yes I did! It was leaking from the gasket where the tandem pump meets the back of the top of the engine. It was the tiniest of weeps. I very carefully cleaned the back of the engine and top of the gear casing the best I could with GUNK...

Apparently it can be an accumulation over time if the engine is slightly over filled with oil. That’s what I was told anyway.

Looks like some people have had good results. We bought ours 1 1/2 years old less than 20,000 miles from Audi , had it serviced there up to 90,000 miles then started to notice some bodywork bubbling under the paint. Tried to get work done through the warranty even went through Audi uk . After...

I can confirm a starter motor can just pack up without warning and leave the car absolutely lifeless. Just bump started it fine so off to garage next week for new starter motor. Any ideas of costs fitted? Thankyou

Has any one with a 2.0 tdi ever had the starter motor die without warning? Went to start my car this morning and everything lights up all electrics work turn the ignition and absolutely nothing. The battery is good. Thankyou
