Can you hear anything if you simply sit in the car and turn the wheel lock to lock? When I had that with my top bearing mount it creaking and when I had an assistant turn the wheel whilst i listened under the bonnet it was clearly the top strut mount. Replaced under warranty.

They're on at least version M of the same basic part, IIRC...

So what you're actually probably looking at is an issue that's airspeed related - ie there's enough air pressure once you get above 50 for whatever it is to start rattling. I'd start by checking that all the clips are in place in the underbody covers and also take the front wheels off and check...

Did the DIS warn you that the bulb was out? If not it's more likely that the switch that detects the gear level being put into reverse is duff. No idea where that is though!

Pop bonnet. Get glamorous assistant to turn the steering wheel lock to lock with the engine running and listen to the strut top mount. If it's anything like mine was when I had those same symptoms, you'll hear the bearing groaning and squealing. I had no issues after it was replaced.

Given the location, the source could potentially be the alarm sounder siren, which I think might be inside the front wing.

No idea, but don't immediately assume it's in the engine compartment. I previously had a Civic Type-R and the siren was inside the interior trim behind the rear seat! I would also suggest that people who do know the answer to this question may well be unwilling to say in public for the obvious...

SD card is a good way to go, IMO. mp3tag is a really useful program, as it allows you to go through all your albums one by one just clicking on a track randomly within the album to see if there is artwork embedded. If there wasn't, I'd drag that album's artwork out of iTunes onto my desktop...

Just a continuation, I just played music off my iPhone into my 2014 Audio sound System MMI and all I got was the artist, album and track text. Not even the musical note logo. All the music in my phone is fully MMI compliant with regards to artwork, so I guess it's a non-starter. My solution...

When I had a similar issue, I found that popping the bonnet and getting my girlfriend to turn the wheel lock to lock whilst I listened was really useful in enabling me to locate the problem to my drivers side top mount. Mine was replaced under warranty though, so I don't know how much the job costs.

I had to change my battery out after six years (also a 2014, but a 1.8TFSI) for identical symptoms. People on here were amazed that it had lasted that long. :P
