Both of my old mounts had sensors/valves the new ones fitted didn't, I just hacksawed them off the sides of the old mounts, plugged them back in and ty-wrapped them back on to the harness to stop them dangling.
No fault codes yet.
I changed all my mounts at once so mine is as tight as a tight thing now, anything is better that the mounts I had.
The bottoms had disintegrated and the whole engine was just sliding about.
Check out the What I did to my b6 today thread, I've just done all the engine mounts on my 2.5tdi QS avant at 150000 and there is nowt left of the bottoms of the mounts.
The sump is really easy to do, drop the arb down and remove all the bolts, done. No debris at all, the strainer was spotless as was the rest of the bottom end, no pics tho as my phone died.

Fitted a few mounts, engine, snub, gearbox n rear diff mount(powerflex, no pics).
And a sump and gasket.
And made a temporary crankcase breather.
