Not the case. We disconnected the battery to see if it would work as my brother didnt have his computer with him. It made no odds - had to use VCDS to solve it.
Is that long term? They worked perfectly at first but over time caused problems.
The warning still stands though - if people buy them, they should make sure they work a few weeks later before purchasing or they could end up with a nice bill at Audi!
Ive seen on here a thread linking to an ebay seller who sells LED number plate lights that wont give an error code. I decided to buy them and fitted them with no problems - they looked fantastic, a big improvement in look and in light!
That was 3 weeks ago and today I took my car for its MOT -...
Just noticed another problem - the leaving home lights only work if ive just finished driving, lock the car and then unlock the car. If I go to my car having left it locked for a period of time they do not work!
Had it double checked today and neither of those problems are it. Just done a quick search and it appears loads of people have had the same problem - main advice seems to be to try and fiddle with the different channels etc.
If anyone else could suggest anything that would be great!
mine dont come on when i take my key out of the ignition though. The leaving home lights work as expected but the coming home lights do not work at all.
I fitted coming home lights to my 2004 A3 TDI Sport yesterday and programmed it according to a link I got from this site.
However, the coming home lights do not actually come on when I lock the car - but the lights do come on when I unlock the car. Has anyone had this problem before?
Thanks...
i dont really get why you are offended - its a compliment that they are using your car to model their products (even if they aint actually selling what you have on show).
