    Mapping out EGR

Cheers mate, but I've got one of eBay already so I'll give this a go and see how it runs. And NHN, I'm not expecting anything for free, I just can't justify £150 to map the EGR out when there are potentially much cheaper options...

    Mapping out EGR

There's been a hesitation on my A3 (PD140) that was happening around 1500-2100rpm on part throttle. After various attempts to fix the problem, it turns out that by disconnecting the vacuum pipe to the EGR cures the hesitation completely. I'm not going to leave the vacuum pipe disconnected as...

    Rear wheel bearing

Does anyone know the 'inside diameter' of the rear wheel bearing on a 2005 2.0tdi FWD? There are 2 available...30mm and 32mm. Ive been told by one motor factors its 30mm, and the other 32mm!!! Anyone know?

Wrapping Front S3 Splitter - Any Advice?

That part painted will be no more likely than the rest of the bumper to get a stonechip... Wrapping just that bottom bit will be a headache, and your going to need to cut in the edges of the vinyl if that bottom part doesn't come off. I'd rather be masking edges than cutting them!

Wrapping Front S3 Splitter - Any Advice?

A friend of mine has a window tinting/car wrapping workshop, i've seen him wrap cars, parts etc. Wrapping just that part would be very tricky...the problem with wrap is getting it around tight curves and corners without creases/tearing it/getting it to stretch and stick, is hard. You could...

    Chrome piece around the grille

Why dont you take the piece of, repair it, then spray it/get it sprayed whatever colour you like? I took mine off and painted it satin black, and with a really good polish afterwards you couldn't tell the difference

    8P C-pillar trim removal

C-pillars are at the back right? Never done it, but removal should roughly be like this, I may have missed a few bits: - Remove parcel shelf - Use torx screwdriver to remove the plastic trim either side of where parcel shelf sat, think there are 2 per side. - Unclip c pillar from where it...

    front s line grill

Well the actual plan was to paint the black plastic bits in a subtle satin black, and have the chrome vinyl wrapped in an anthracite grey (to match my wheels) if i could take it off easily. So I might do a similar thing to you and paint it all together, maybe just try to mask off the chrome.

    front s line grill

I've got the single grille already, and its seperated from the bumper. I had a quick look and it looks hard to split the chrome surround off, might give it a go when im feeling brave!

    what do you think?

You dont need a 'kit'...the caliper paint kits are brush painted and are horrible. Don't pay someone through the nose for something you can EASILY do yourself! - You need a can of 'high temperature' paint in whichever colour you choose. (can probably buy in halfords) - Buy a tin of 'panel...
