    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

I am not going to be particularly impressed if it does turn out that my superbly engineered and powerful v6 diesel has been restricted in power and performance - not as I had imagined to improve economy, But rather so it could be mated to a transmission which could not comfortably absorb more...

    Adblue

Saw my first ad blue pump today - so at 7988 miles and having never put any adblue in my 24 litre tank - I thought it would be wise to top it up... Only squeezed 6.6 litres - £5.94p @ 89.9p per litre - so I was pretty pleased with that! - it must surely have been full when I collected and...

    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

.... Takes coat off for a moment.... Thanks Nick, I was kind of hoping that if a few people checked their codes (nice and easy to find in the front of the service book, no lying on the drive trying to check under the car with a torch) by comparing a few with the known model of car 2.0 / 3.0...

    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

Oh, sorry, i did not spot that clarification in the preceeding posts. I was reading Nickgun 's bit where he suggested it must be a different spec on the 2.0 and 3.0tdi. I seem to have missed the definitive confirmation that the a4 b9 stronic is the same on all 2.0 and 3.0 petrol or diesel .

    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

this is the list of codes inside the front cover of my service book - since LZ7S is Daytona paint code, I had assumed RZW SKF to be gearbox code? obviously not the DL501 or DL382-7Q type code - but clearly some sort of code used by Audi and which must in some way identify the gearbox??

    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

A read of a post on the a5 forum revealed to me that the gearbox code is inside the front cover of the service book with all the other build codes. Mine appears to be RZW SKF - now i just need to find out what that means OR compare with the codes of other B9 models 219 / 190 /150 and petrol to...

    218Q vs 272Q: can't decide!!!

Yes, that could be correct as the US market do not get the diesels - so the statement that ALL B9 A4's get the same gearbox would be correct there, but possibly not here in the UK.... and the designation of 382 in the DL382 would then fit within the torque limits of the TFSi engine - where as...

My A4/B9 REVIEW AFTER 600 MILES...

Agreed on efficiency mode - it has a huge lag pulling away on roundabouts and junctions - but the bmw 520d F10 i had was exactly the same in eco pro mode! You had time to shout "come ON!" Between pressing the go pedal and the car processing that request into any sort of motion.. and this is the...

My A4/B9 REVIEW AFTER 600 MILES...

So , another 158 miles today and 2000 is now very close! Still not getting the mpg I would like, but I can't really complain as it is 3.0 and 4 wheel drive! And if mpg had been priority absolute, then i would have gone for the 2.0 190 tdi - as you say blackb9er - and I think to be honest 90% of...

Post Pics Of Your A4/S4 B9 In Here

No worries @ScottishA4B9 . I should have popped a picture up a week ago, but I was both busy and not qualified to load images! However your question prompted me and reminded, me that I think I have so far only seen one other black packed A4 B9 on here, and that was a Euro model, not one in the...

Its a fabulous engine! I was gonna go for the 2.0 tdi as i use it for my work and do a lot of miles...... but the temptation of the v6 against the minimal extra fuel was far far too much. Had a 520d f10 for the last 3 years and 80k miles which was fabulous, comfortable, economical and quick...
