Timing belt on an 07 plate 2.0 tfsi

What's the recommended interval for these engines please? Found a good 2.0 tfsi which I'm likely to buy. Has done 60k with a belt / pump change in 2012 at 32k. Have a feeling it's every 5 years. If so, I will try and negotiate the cost a bit as I think the warranty that comes with this car would...

    Comparing S4 / A4 3.2 avant

thanks. yeah i can imagine i would be the same and fall in love the s4 having test driven the v6 already and smiling. The v6 has sold now so decision is a little easier. Just got to get over the timing chain scaryness

    Comparing S4 / A4 3.2 avant

running cost is not a concern. I am just intimidated at the fact the chain / tensioners could go on the S4, especially given it's coming up to 100k and it will cost a fortune to fix. Plus it's private so no warranty. I am reading that the tensioner issue is also there on the 3.2 but given the...

    Comparing S4 / A4 3.2 avant

i was going to ask about chain issues. From what I have read both 3.2 and 4.2 have potential chain/tensioner problems and if you're unlikely with that, it's an engine out job for either to fix.

    Comparing S4 / A4 3.2 avant

Hi Sam Thanks for that. I'm only looking at autos currently, so that's good news. Think I'm more attracted to the S4 given the 3.2's lack of leather seats and lower tax. I do like the look of the double din GPS unit from the 3.2 so may have to upgrade if i go for the S4. The more i read about...

    Comparing S4 / A4 3.2 avant

Narrowed down my want list to one of the above cars. I have found one of each in very good condition. The S4 has just over 90k with FSH and well looked after. 55 plate lower tax bracket, S line kit without GPS. Offered for just over 6k. The A4 avant 3.2 has only 60k miles again FSH. S line kit...

3.2 quattro vs 2.0 tfsi cvt - pls help me decide!

thanks. it's got fairly low mileage at 60k. audi servicing up to 45. I will also ask them on about any receipts / work done as well. May take out the extra nationwide warranty for piece of mind. Hoping to work out how much the 2nd keyfob will be to programme to the car too

3.2 quattro vs 2.0 tfsi cvt - pls help me decide!

thanks Neil - good to know. They have confirmed 11 stamps from audi up until 2015 then 2 from independents 2016 and early 2018. The sales garage carried out an oil change a week ago. I have asked for service intervals just to be sure but seems to be well looked after just a shame past couple...

3.2 quattro vs 2.0 tfsi cvt - pls help me decide!

Last one on this sorry. They took another video from startup. Please let me know what you all think, as it will put my mind at ease before paying close to 6k for it. I think it sounds a lot better in this video but need some more experience viewers input. Thanks!

3.2 quattro vs 2.0 tfsi cvt - pls help me decide!

yeah I did read about the timing chain and listened out for chain noise and there was nothing, not even for a few seconds at the start. I really hope it is loud injectors but if anyone else thinks it's good/bad sounding, then please let me know. Hoping to buy this week.

3.2 quattro vs 2.0 tfsi cvt - pls help me decide!

I thought the same, hence the video. Wanted to check here because the only v6 I've had before is an Alfa and that was a fair bit quieter, so hoped I would confirm if these engines have loud injectors for example If anyone here knows what that might be, I will contact the garage but right now...
