faulty heater flap/ air direction motors, remove the glove box you can see 4 motors, move all the heater controls, look for one that does not move any levers! worth a look, i did have some but they all sold on ebay within 3 days!

like mentioned earlier 95% of hood faults are micro switches.

sounds like a gearbox problem, mine just goes into limp mode, no judder. but i'm breaking it as no one seems able to able to have any idea, some say it's the ecu others just guessing. 2001 2.0 multitronic , won't buy an auto Audi again.

try ebay, look for one that is breaking for parts , should easily get one for £100.

get another window regulator off ebay, kits are a mare to refit much easier buy a complete second hand one.
