Hello. I just discovered another bit to tick in my towbar coding. I was looking around module 46 "central conv" long coding helper when i stumbled accross byte 12, bit 5 : "trailer hitch control module ( J345) installed". I just ticked the bit and saved. I dont know what this bit does yet, but...

Thats right, but it is newer than my car, so i am happy with it.

It is a b7, they dont have can modules? Don't they? He must have a faulty universal relay / wiring.

I dont know if it was an option for the a4. Once I will be able to put my hand on 4 cheap control modules, I will do mine as I love the footwells and the illuminated door handles in mine. It will be a nice upgrade.

Thanks for the comments. I found must of the infos in the forum or online, and I just gathered whatever suited me best.

The door handles illumination comes on as soon as you unlock the car. The footwell lights brighten up fully when the doors are opened. Once the doors are closed the footwell lights dim down to your mmi setting. The door handles stay on even with the ignition off. A bit like the hazard light...

I dont know the coding for a Q3, but on my A4 B8, when you use the "long coding helper" in each door module, you just have to tick some boxes to add the ambiante lighting.
