    B6 Bumper Options.

Thats my fault, Photobucket lost ALL my photo's several years ago, and I will never forgive them. One day when I have time, maybe when I retire I will replace all the missing images in the relevant posts, Easy to do with generic photo's, less easy to do with my personal ones :rage:

    Rather unexpected A6 purchase...

God it's been ages.... 216k and still going strong, I'm sure loads has been done since my last update, but the most recent has been complete new timing gear and swapped out a couple of aux/AC pulleys which were squeaking. Get 42 MPG reliably for my local motoring, 45 on a run. My winter...

    A6 Fuel Consumption

What sort of mpg are you getting? When I got mine I had to swap both coolant sensors and the thermostat before I fixed the running temperature issues. And it took a while for the mpg to improve again. Even now I only get 38-42 in daily use and never seen the 50+ that some people report with...

    Rather unexpected A6 purchase...

Same wheel swap and wash day one year later. Little has changed! I have a new pair of headlights, wiper mechanism and door blades and a few other bits purchased. I will collect post-lockdown etc. I sorted the wet carpet. The pollen filter housing was cracked. I'd like to get another one but...

    My C5 RS6 Daytona Avant

Looks like a lovely car - certainly the pinnacle of the evolution of the C5. I shall look forward to this thread progressing :thumbs up:

    Rather unexpected A6 purchase...

Summer wheels on today, and a decent wash has cheered me up a bit. Had to dry out the offside headlight again, I don't really know how the water gets in... maybe through the grommet for the HID's.I might look into sourcing another headlight. They need a buff up as they're starting to fade again...

    Damp nearside rear footwell ideas.

So I noticed that my nearside rear foot well carpet is pretty wet. I have previously removed the drain plugs from under the battery, and having recently regreased my front wiper mechanism I knew it was all dry in there. My next thought was that the rear washer pipe which runs along the...

As any one put 19" x5 wheels on a allroad...

I presume that's X5 as in BMW? The C5 has 5 x 112 wheels with an ET of 42 (ish) from the factory (not sure on the Allroad's offset?). You'd obviously need to know the PCD and offset of the X5 wheels to know how they would fit.

Yes I still have them, they're holding up well and don't rattle or anything. I'd recommend them. It's had new oil and also the linkage adjusting but it didn't help unfortunately.

    Rather unexpected A6 purchase...

It's annoying that I don't get on here anywhere near as much as I used to! That's life, hey ho. October 2017 since my last update! :wtf: Anyway, the car is ticking on ok - 192k now. Went straight through the last MoT and the winter wheels are now on. Will the Yokohama V902's ever wear?! I had...

    My new C5 S6 Avant - V8 family car

Your thread is as good as ever! The car looks so good I have to say, for the new RS's etc you can beat the C5 shape I don't think. I need to change my drivers door latch as the microswitch is playing up. Did your ebay special come with the switch? I didn't see you changing it over in the...

2.0 or 3.0 TDI, Auto or Manual?

I'm considering upgrading next year and am starting to look at my options. I want a late model LeMans Avant, with either the 2.0 (170) or 3.0 TDi engines. The 2.0 is probably all I'll ever need, but a return to six cylinders and quattro appeals (albeit their self destructive nature still...
