My 2017 A5 refuses to play video files in MP4 format that played perfectly well on my 2013 A6. To be precise, it's not that she refuses to play them, she doesn't even acknowledge their presence on the SD card. When I have time (can be bothered :blush:) I'll try some different files.

I had this happen on my S5. It was down to a faulty SD card, however, as the S6 doesn't have an external card slot, it could be faulty internal memory. Open the phone dialer and type *#0*# This will open the built in diagnostics, try running the tests to see if this throws anything up.

I got a call from am Audi Tech today say this has been resolved. I simply selected Google Maps and it started within seconds. Maps appear to be better quality too.

Just got back in the car and almost instantly connected with LTE at full signal strength. Whatever the issue, it seems to be resolved.

Yes, that's what I figured. I'm guessing if the antenna or radio module dies, it would lose the signal altogether. Mine was still only 3G at 6AM. I have phones on O2 & Vodafone and they seem OK with a 4G signal, so they would be fine with LTE. I'm guessing Cubic use EE as their backbone ?

I'm in Cambridgeshire and since around 8AM my car has only had a 3G signal so the Audi Connect either runs painfully slowly, or not at all. Is anyone else having issues ?

Does anyone else think a status page showing the ONLINE/OFFLINE status of Audi Connect services would be a good idea ? It would help with issues like Google Earth not working, in that people can see at a glance there is an issue. I have just tweeted @AudiUKCare asking if such a page exists...

Unfortunately, this can be turned off by deleting the primary user, thereby stopping anyone from locating the vehicle. Insurance companies will only accept a dedicated, stand alone, tracker to provide a discount.
