    Now what do i do..

Thanks for the feedback Chris. Must have taken a lot of work on the underside of the car to get it looking fresh. The effort must be with it though. The feedback i`ve had from everyone on this has been really helpful and positive and has given me the little push i needed to get the car sorted...

    Now what do i do..

Thats a great help Simon thank you. I`m pleased you were able to sort the car especially having just purchased it. I can imagine that it would not have been pleasant finding that having just bought the car. I`m expecting / prepared to pay circa £500-600 for a decent job especially if the car...

    Now what do i do..

Thank you @danny_dj3 and @Brad1011 for the useful replies. I have spent a lot of time considering it over the last couple of days. I spoke to someone yesterday who comes highly recommended. He has both a workshop and a very smart trailer unit that he takes round to do mobile repairs at Mot...

    Now what do i do..

HI All, I previously posted over the last couple of years of the testing ownership of my Nogaro S3. Back in 2019 i spent the thick end of £3500-4k on all of the major work believing that it would be a worthwhile investment and that sometimes its the better the devil you know. It had: Hyrbid...

    ABS Fault

Yeah. Mine was pretty crusty and broke when I poked it to check so swapped that out these old gremlins can be irritating to track down

    ABS Fault

Hi bud, I had the same issue about 18 months ago. When I looked to do this at home, there wasn’t the clearance underneath the abs pump to pull the module off. There are long metal sensors which draw out from the module and they are very delicate. You can’t drop the module down far enough to...

Is it worth keeping my 8L Noggy?

Thanks mate. Ive done exactly that for this guy that is interested. It needs to be worth it. I don`t want to let it go for peanuts even if it does cause me stress! lol

Is it worth keeping my 8L Noggy?

Car looks really clean there mate.. I need to get a DA polisher. Ive done a fair few paint work jobs both on my own cars and on other peoples and not having a polisher makes it really hard to blend the lacquer in. Its on my `to-buy` list. I think the issue is i`ve never really fallen in love...

Is it worth keeping my 8L Noggy?

I don`t have to sell it, but as you pointed out, i don`t want the worry of further expense either. That said, you could move to another car and buy into an whole load of other issues. Whilst id love to someday get back the money i`ve put into it, that`s not the deciding factor. I just don`t want...

Is it worth keeping my 8L Noggy?

Im in a similar situation myself currently. Its nice to know i`m not the only one! Like you, i also have the same colour combo. I invested in it last year as i took the view that better the devil you know and had every intention of keeping it. I spent the thick end of 3.5k on it last year...

    A little more noise...

Morning all, I have used the search function for this but can't really see any answers that really relate to what I want to do. Having worked in the tuning industry previously, I've been working towards an OEM+ spec on my Noggy. This year has seen me invest a huge amount into the car both...

    Flutter noise

One of the first things we did on mine when I mapped it. Tidys up the cam cover area massively @Ryan s3 if you intend to keep the car, check the breather pipes when you're there under the Inlet as well as these will give similar issues I replaced mine earlier this year. You can do a...

    Flutter noise

Bingo... One of the first things I did was replace the vac lines for silicone. Worth doing mate. I'm now working my way through the boost pipes As @<tuffty/> touched on, a vac leak like that would have caused both the drop in boost and the loss of operation of the Dv.

    Flutter noise

Odd it's all happened after a belt change. That's what I don't understand. Guess these cars like to develop yet more faults when they are worked on. Mines done that god knows how many times this year....

I'd have a look and see if it's possible with the wire lengths that they could have been mixed up. As I said its a stab in the dark. I don't think it's that but it seems odd. From memory the n249 plug is wrapped and runs along the cam cover with the coil pack wiring Have you got a volt...
