What is your offer? I was hoping for around £1000, as that is what I think I could get if I were to sell the bits I can easily remove separately and then the engine/suspension components to a local independent garage who is interested.

Please read some of my recent posts. My poor allroad is currently sat with its 3rd dead tiptronic gearbox - 2 boxes were Audi remanufactured ones both died with unrelated problems in a period of 4 years so yes they do fail (just out of warranty!!!) and are horrifically expensive to buy £3000ish...

I know, but filling it requires filling it until it overflows and again once at certain temperature - they followed the audi instructions. but the oil is not pumping round the gearbox to get hot or make more space in sump for the rest of the oil. actually whilst typing this I wonder if they can...

If its getting that hit & miss I suggest you completely remove your inside door trim now, if you end up not being able to open the door at all with the trim in place you are in big trouble. You would end up having to remove the rear door to get to the lock catch on the front to cut it to be able...
