I feel for you on the prolapsed disc front, mine is L3-L4, well on the mend after about a year but I would think twice before attempting the battery change, it is too centrally placed, probably why the A5 cab has the battery in the boot now.

My rear seat installation was extra cheap because I only used one kit spread across the seat base, there is no heat in the seatback, but it is still very effective.

I have factory heated seats in the front, but the kids were a bit left out, so I fitted one of these kits to the rear seat of my cab, works great and the switch is very discreet. Be warned you need to be sitting on it to feel it properly heating up.

How was opening the headlamps? Did you use oven or heatgun method?

Take 2 long fast bends- 50mph or more and left and right hander, if your problem lessens as you straighten up then it is definitely a wheel bearing. Next you have to find whether it is front or back..... Wheel bearings on A4s seem to be Sh*te, I have changed 2 so far and need a 3rd one doing now.

I fixed my minor oil leak by replacing the PCV vent breather valve, I tried cleaning it first but that didn't work. Replacement cost £15 and took 5 minutes to fit ( luckily the breather hoses were not brittle ) I did this after reading this-...
