Haha, yeh the 8" cable on it's own unfortunately isn't quite long enough hence the need for two. Mobius technically only support a maximum of 8" extension meaning I couldn't link two of those together so had to find a short ribbon which is where the Wurth cable came in.

The links still tell you all the part names / numbers I used so you should be able to find alternative suppliers with a quick Google even if the links themselves don't give alternatives.

I've just put a deposit down on a new M240i so my S4 is now provisionally for sale. Ideally I'd like to keep it until the new car arrives in the new year but can make other arrangements if it sells sooner and may consider something worth sub £5k as a part ex to get me around in the meantime...

I had mine done by Wraptition near Southampton and fitted a black edition S4 grille myself. The wrap cost around £300 but for that they did all the window trim plus the silver slats in the front and rear bumpers and offer a 5 year warranty on their work if it should ever start lifting or peeling...

You can't actually tell its got the diff from the dash but if you see the Drive Select button it means it has some ADS features so there's a chance it does. Its this button above the climate controls etc, although on RHD cars the button is on the right hand end of the row, not the left like this...

The problems do seem to be mostly confined to pre-facelift cars with the older mechatronics unit, I've yet to see any mention of B8.5 problems on here and I've only seen mention a couple on larger US based forums compared to the frequent pre facelift failures. Looks good, I never knew these specifically designed cameras existed otherwise I probably wouldnt have bothered going to the effort of fitting the Mobius!
