Install TT-RS shift paddles on TT-S

The buttons on the wheel are clipped into the polished metal surround from the back To remove them it is necessary to remove the air bag and the complete polished metal section of the wheel. There are no hidden fixings etc and the metal section, complete with the buttons simply pulls out of...

different offset fitting to same car advise plz

A quick check on the net shows that the standard wheels on a 2001 TT, be they 16, 17 or 18 are all 7 inches wide and are et31. The 7 and 31 are the important figures. Enter those figures and the figures 8 and 35 and 8 and 45 into the calculator at the link below and hit the calculate button...

    Tyre Noise?

I must admit that I do have to agree with you. My TT, which is on Continentals, is very prone to road noise depending on the road surface. On some surfaces, it is horrendous, but on other surfaces it is as quiet as a mouse. When I first fitted the tyres they particularly bad but the do seem...

MK2 TT - Bose speakers stopped working

Typical symptom of Bose amp failure in the TT. The amp is situated behind the panel on the left hand side of the boot and is susceptible to water ingress from the wheel well. The circuit boards corrode and eventually the amp fails, as in your case. This is a very common complaint on the TT...

Condensation problem: rear windscreen TT mk2?

A common enough problem when the car is parked outside all year round. I found that a couple of dehumidifier bags on the rear shelf and on the dash kept things clear .......... usually only necessary in the winter months. Cheap enough solution ............ check out the link below...

    MK2 Front seats

I've seen a few similar posts and the only answer appears to be spacers under the front of the seat rails to achieve a degree of tilt. Basically, slide the seat back as far as possible, remove the two front bolts that hold the seat rails to the floor , insert a number of washers under the seat...

    MkII 3.2 V6

I'm running a DSG model .............. fantastic car all round and the road tax on the DSG is cheaper too. Just make sure that it has a full service history with the DSG fluid and Haldex oil changes all done as per the service schedule.

    Mk2 3.2 flapper mod?

I'm not sure where you got the idea that there was a 'flapper mod' on the 3.2 but I can assure you there is no such thing on mine. However there is a 'sound pipe' installed in the inlet tract which allegedly makes the car sound racier under load. Have a read through the link below...

POST PICS OF YOUR CAR IN HERE.

The TTRS oval tail pipes are not actually attached to the exhaust pipes on the car but are bolted to the bumper itself. The exhaust pipes line up with the back of the tail pipes but are not physically attached. The TTRS tail pipes came with the bumper so it was only necessary to cut the...
