Higher gear ratio decrease torque transmitted to the wheel.. And also, the higher ratio the lower transmission efficiency. But unlikes to Engines without turbo, the max torque appears in mid rpm range.. Im not sure when to change gear for tfsi.. Is thete any dynamo result of each gear ratio?

Can the rpm fall below 1k during braking even if the car is not stop? At some low speed, the rpm indicates around 800 while braking. Is that mean the gear goes to N during driving?
