It started last Jan 2020, PX my MK2 TT for a MK3, then after a few months traded that for an S3 8V which was ****** fun, but killing me on fuel costs!!
That went for an A3 8V only lasted a few weeks, now back in a 2017 plate TTMK3 S-line 2.0tdi.
Its been a blast..................
Before I changed to that red A3 8V, I had a A3 8P for five years, it was mapped.
When I PXed it for the 8V, it had 280K on the clock, same clutch, same turbo, same engine.
(I changed the oil every 5K miles, lot to be said about oil changes)
Only thing I changed in 5 years was, the flap runner...
If you follow the link above, these guys did my A3, look at the red one on 24 July 2018, that's mine.
It had 90k on the clock, I sold it a year later to get my first TT, I put 24K miles on it with the map, no problems.
They charge £250 plus VAT for map...
I have an TT 2016 plate, it already has Sat Nav, but told its around £500 for the maps and activation if you don't have it.
I'm told, apple car play comes standard in the 2017 model onwards.
Not sure about it being fitted in the pre 2017 models.
Once had a problem with the MK2, but was a fault and not ice and had a regulator replaced.
Nothing with the MK3
I do around 40 miles a day, work and back.
Plus the running around.
What you have to remember, you will what to take the TT for a blast more so than the A3, so more miles lol
Its such a fun car, its got everything and the diesel with a stage 1 map is quick and great on fuel.
That's why the S3 went, I use the car everyday, I was using 3 times more fuel driving the S3!!
I have more smiles in the TT and fuel return is great.
