I'm running Audi A5 17" 'Fan'/7 spokes with an offset of ET28, 7J rim with 235/45/17 tyres (Vredistein Satin touring - which are brilliant in all conditions btw!). Sits flush with bodywork but no scrubbing. Mine's a quattro Sport with B5 perches at the front as well.
My old setup was the A5...
I had fun with this myself.
My problems were, after fitting a SWCM and cruise were:
1. The coding in the brakes/ABS module needs re-entering as the soft coding is lost in the process. The login/security code took me ages to work out. Are you using a genuine VCDS lead? Have a look at the...
Yep that's right A3 8V airbag on mine and the Mode left hand side button. Completely transforms the cabin and doesn't look out of place. One of the best mods I've gone for as it is the direct link between the driver and the the car.
The carbon on yours looks ace, quite jealous! I'd need the...
There are several American forums that report some guys who have carried out that mod have had significant accidents and the airbag system fails to deploy. The airbag controller senses a system fault and disables itself I think. When I fitted mine I checked the measuring blocks in VCDS and the...
Cool, no worries.....for reference, the b7 mfsw has a dual stage airbag that isn't compatible with your single stage airbag controller. There might be one off another model that is though.

Upgraded mine to the S4 setup, coming from the 1.9's 288mm, 345mm is a monster jump. The new rears are bigger than my original fronts!!!!!!
Huge difference in stopping power, and they soak up loads of abuse!
I stared off with EBC ultimax discs and pads, but the pads were a bit woolly from...
It's free to download from ross-tech website.
The cost is the ross-tech OBDII cable as the licence is built into the hardware/circuit board.
Hence you can use a cheap eBay vcds leads with the vcds software but many of the higher functions and coding are disabled without a genuine cable.
No worries!
Oh I don't know about cabs, quite possibly different altogether!
All I remember was somewhere in the instruction guides/forums quite a few guys reported that by upgrading the SWCM/CC they suddenly got a weird error because the washer sensor was not installed .....I think.
It...
I completed the CC retrofit last month (and a MFSW too, but that's another story).
From the research I did, you will need a specific revision steering wheel control module (SWCM) to support cruise, see here (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Cruise_Control_Retrofitting_(8E)), or as...
After collecting parts over the last month or so I've finally got around to fitting an A4/A5 steering wheel and cruise control.
Single stage airbag compatible with my airbag controller (according to a friendly Audi tech).
