We just gave them the model and they added the reg number manually. I got a call from the driver when he left Crewe Audi and an estimated delivery time of 12.15 and he arrived bang on midday.
Mine was delivered today and my rep said it would only be registered the day of delivery, despite me being made aware of the reg number allocated to it a couple of weeks ago. My insurers couldn't find the vehicle on their system from the reg number.

Generally the JSON updates to panel shop on the Thursday before the planned build week. Mine showed as being left the factory on the Sunday. Mine was in the UK 19 days after it left Emden which from what I have seen is about average. From then it depends on how fast your dealer is at getting it...
Your car will be built and on the train by the 27th of November. Mine was at the UK port 19 days after it left the factory and if you chase your dealer they can have it collected from the port within a day or so, and PDI it in another couple of days. In theory you could have it just before...
Mine arrived at the UK port 19 days after leaving Emden. I think that's about average. Then about 11 days to get to the dealer, but that could have been particularly slow as there was no hurry on my part for delivery. I know some have said theirs only took a couple of days for that stage.
