This was heavily discussed at OzAudi - couple have experienced the same...

To give you an idea, I ordered my S3 on 23/01/2015 and mine was BW22 - mine was (perhaps) the first MY16 delivered in Brisbane (Australia). It arrived at the dealership on 3 August 2015, and I picked it up on 7 August....
I think you EU guys have smaller wait times... for us on a far away...
+1 for Manual. I came from a MY11 WRX... and all my previous cars, with exception of my first car (1994 VR Holden Commodore) have all been manual.
I live in Sydney CBD, and don't find the manual too much of a bother. Military Road/Spit Road heading out to Northern Beaches is a PITA as its...
Use it all the time - manual S3 sedan. Sydney traffic can be horrific at the best of times. As I live practically in the CBD, it usually kicks in frequently at traffic lights trying to get to the outter suburbs. I tend to disengage the S/S until the oil is up to temp (>75C)...
*Flaps! Makes the exhaust sound meatier!
Exhaust flaps all open
===================1 – Engine module
Exhaust Flaps deactivate
Byte 9
Bit 2 - Exhaust Flaps installed check box default activated – deactivate it and save as usual.
Heard about this before - I can't comment, as I'm stock manual with no mods.. Others have not had issues on Stage 1 though...

^^ This.
I too used to use toothpicks -
On my Satin White Pearl WRX - I picked up some fine 0/0 artist brushes - they were super fine and helped "fill" the chip as well.
On a happier note, 4 months on, and still no stone chips. I'm thinking it'll be inevitable though. Our roads are...
Was tempted for S-tronic - test drove the demo at the dealership... Was torn. My WRX was manual, the MPS3 before that was manual.. so figured, manual S3.
Fairly rare to get a manual S3 in Australia too. I did a poll on ozaudi and there is only a handful of us that have them.
...some of the roads around Sydney (Aus) almost resemble goat tracks. I've already smashed my front right into a recessed "man hole cover" - you'd think when they resurface roads, they'd level man hole covers... no... they dont. So you end up with a 2-3" gap... when its raining, you can't see...
...currently around 820mi (just over 1,300km). My S3 was delivered on 07/08/2015, so just under a month. 620mi (1,000km) of the 820mi was the trip between Brisbane & Sydney!
Only get to drive it on weekends as I live in Sydney CBD and walk to and from work and shops etc.
It's way more refined. Power delivery is much nicer too - more low end. Didn't really see the power in the WRX till 3,000+ rpm. The S3 pulls really good from less than 2,000rpm!
Its also way more economical - Drove from Yatala (just south of Brisbane, Australia) to Taree (290km North of...
Thanks guys - coming from a 2011 WRX is certainly an upgrade! You guys are lucky to live so close to Germany/Hungary - mine was on a boat for 41 days in transit!
FYI - "wrapped with it" - never thought it was aussie slang, but, means stoked with it, really happy with it, etc... The things us...
