I will do, I'm having a nightmare trying to locate this bad tappet. I cannot get my head around where about its coming from. Any tips on the best way to find the bad tappet without stripping the whole thing. I know I have to strip to fix problem, but would like to know the culprit one first...

Got some good news. Tried a snap on compressor gauage! I'm getting 13bae now 170psi more or less across the 4 that's dry!! I'm happy. Checked with the eBay special still showing 80psi! What a waste of money!

Thanks guys I will have a look now. I will have to use a screwdriver.. But actually would a stethoscope which doctors use work? As my misses is a nurse and have one in the house lol. If I locate it to a bad tappet why is it making this noise? Will I have to replace it ?

I'm not sure on previous oil change but I have just changed it to 5w 40 fully synthetic, but has made no difference also used wynns hydraulic lifter treatment with no look. If we say it was a duff tappet how can I work out with one it is. Also what am I looking out for? Thanks
