Enabling Audi Drive Select via Carista app

Hi @Mumer , I'm unsure with your model, but I believe the A3 8V may require coding with ODIS to enable the ADS feature, which would require a visit to either a dealer or a specialist. Sorry I can't be more help. George

A1 Fuel Cap Locking Solenoid Replace tips

Thanks for that. Yeah I've watched a few videos but they're all the same really. Just wanted to know if anyone had any special tips or methods for better ways to remove them.

A1 Fuel Cap Locking Solenoid Replace tips

Hi all. I need to replace the fuel cap locking solenoid on my girlfriends A1. Is there any tips for removing the plastic surround so that I may be able to reuse the old one? Not too fussed about having holes in the plastic, just would rather not have to buy the whole new piece? Thanks for any...

Audi A4 B8 Avant Tow Bar

To me, those 2 wires sound like the CAN-bus wires. Because you've got the prep you shouldn't need to do that step because the can-bus connections are facilitated through that red plug - but again this is a different kit to the one I used. I would just plug it all together, forgetting about those...

Audi A4 B8 Avant Tow Bar

Hi, sorry for late reply. That seems a strange install for a dedicated system (although it has been over 3years since I did it so I may be wrong). If you have dedicated electrics already, there should be no need for depinning anything - at least with the kit I used. For me there was a red...

A4 B8.5 Power Fold Mirrors While Moving

Hi all, So I've just retrofitted power folding mirrors to my A4 B8.5 and everything is all good. The only thing is that I am unable to fold the mirrors while moving, I have to stop first then they will fold. Is there an option anywhere to allow them to fold whilst moving, my only guess would be...

VCDS B8.5 Mirror Dip Without Memory Seats?

As well as inverting, you can also code the car to remember the last position the Start/Stop system was in, i.e. if I turn the car off and on the system won't default to being on, it will go back to the status it was before engine shutoff. Was one of the best mods when I discovered the feature!

Retrofit for Ambient lighting and door projector lights

Sorry, I thought you'd wired the footwell light's up to the interior lights? To wire footwells in OEM you wire them into the BCM, which is a right PITA. Basically, it's up underneath the steering wheel behind a relay box which you can unclip to help gain access.

Retrofit for Ambient lighting and door projector lights

The module's for the door lights are located in the door cards. There is one module in each door, what module have you been measuring 8Volts on?

Retrofit for Ambient lighting and door projector lights

Yeah, you need to enable the door lighting by going into the door controllers and turning on from there. Ambient lighting is for the footwell lighting if you'd have done them via the BCM

Retrofit for Ambient lighting and door projector lights

Have you enabled the lights through coding yet?

Retrofit for Ambient lighting and door projector lights

You can buy kits that come with all the fittings to connect into the BCM (footwell lights) and door controllers (warning lights). You will have to get them coded this way but will be as OEM as possible. The guide already posted is what I followed and is a better way of doing it than simply...

Audi A4 B8 Avant Tow Bar

It's very easy as long as you follow the instructions properly. Seeing as you've got the prep I'd go for the dedicated electrics which just need plugging into that plug (you'll need these coded but someone won't charge very much for that if you can't do it). I was 19 when I fitted mine, having...
