First of all get the oils changed, front and rear diffs, haldex (clean the gauze filter) and DSG. Check the quantity and colour of oil coming out. Any VCDS/OBD11 codes?
Do you know the history? not first time rear diff oil been drained by mistake on a haldex service.
RO2 tyres are correct but...
Not just that, see quite a few CCB discs wrecked by stones between the disc and calliper or chipped edges when catching the edge of the disc with the wheel when removing or fitting the wheel. They are quite brittle if hit or dropped
What its worth is going to depend entirely on what is salvageable from the engine. Without knowing that most will price the car on a worst case scenario.
Someone who is planning to build their engine anyway would fix a lot of what might be wrong with that engine in building it but that still...
Yes, that is why I prefer the B3 Alpina, Same engine, more torque, better suspension and no stupid front end.
Unsurprisingly though the prices are holding better than the M3.
One of the reasons I am still in the 8V, when I am pushing on in manual round corners, the paddles are never there (it is why some fix them to the column not the wheel)
Thankfully I can hit the lever blindfolded no matter what is going on, it just falls to hand.
Now if I could only make it...
I like the wheels and I went for a similar colour myself, I quite like the muted look. :icon thumright:
Keep in mind the Pilot Sport 5 is a replacement for the PS4 not the PS4S
The replacement for the PS4S is not yet on general release. If you think you make use of the PS4Ss capabilities...
Looks like one to avoid as it is up 4 sale

For me it is a clear case of peak figures vs area under the graph and the fact that willy-waving headline figures off a dyno are not what gets the car down the road.
Always amazes me how many muppets never get their head round that in their lifetime and never understand how a car with "less"...
Whilst no make or model is immune to it, the RS3 'scene' does seem to turn into a toxic pizzing contest more than most others. It not something I come across as much with other cars I have (or have had)
One of the reason I still have the 8V, it slips past unnoticed most of the time and you...
Have to agree, not been a fan of most Alpina alloys since the ones fitted to mine in the 80s
But I've never let that put me off buying a car, I either put them in a box for when I sell the car and run something better, or I use them as winter wheels and keep a good set for the summer. Sometimes...
Yeah I meant B3 not D3 as finger trouble typo above. The B3 I drove was the earlier version without the wraparound dash but basically the same as the current car. Same S58 engine and most importantly for me suspension tuned more for the crappy UK roads. Still very tempted.
Yeah I have had a few BMWs over the years including a few Ms. I was very tempted when I drove an Alpina D3 touring year or so ago but it would have been a stretch and I'd have had to lose the RS3. I think the steering and brakes are improved over the M version, less fidgety.
What stopped me...
What put you off? I compared the F80 M3 to the 8V and wasn't convinced for what I need. Don't think the G80 moves things along. D3 Alpina would be different but not at that price.
