I’ve just fixed it!
Replaced the parking sensor front loom (£69) as I found previous owner had it trapped in undertray and likely broken it.
Managed to fit it without having to take off the front bumper too!
I just removed both lower vents for access, plus the centre-front engine cover...
front-left sensor gives No-signal/Communication according to VCDS.
I've swapped the sensor from the opposite side of the car and get the same error.
I then tried a spare sensor and get short to positive, so can only assume the spare is not the correct part.
Next I got out the multimeter.
I...
Have replaced the sensor, and still get the fault (cleared it first). Then I tried swapping the sensor from opposite side of the car and its still doing it
Assume that means its the front sensor loom :(
Thanks, I'm confident it's the outer one. After more research it looks like you don't have to take the bumper off partially too, unlike the YouTube vids.
The Erwin guide just says to remove this first to access!
On my A6 c7.5 (2015) My front-left parking aid sensor is showing as faulty on VCDS.
my understanding is that’s the outermost sensor on the left ( right if facing the car).
Me thinking that’s the case and due to lack of spare time at the moment, I took to garage, and they think it’s the one in...
I’ve just picked up an A6 avant c7.5 (2015) and the auto tailgate works fine, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s got an automatic cover.
Has anyone got some good photos of the area to compare please?
It looks to me like it probably does have one(thought they all did) , but I think perhaps the...
Based on the above. Would this one be able to have carplay enabled? It appears to have slightly bigger screen than others I’ve seen with less bezel at the bottom
Thanks, checked the boot latched , adjusted and it still leaked.
so next I started pouring water down the side , starting lower down and eventually found the point of failure.
nearer the top it seems water makes its way under the seal, travels down inside it, then exits down the bottom.
I got...
Found one issue with my recent purchase 2013 A4.
Water seems to be making its way into the spare wheel well and amplifier bay.
I’ve cleaned all visible drains , and managed to dry out the amplifier bay and think I’ve found the main source of the water ingress which is via the felt liner...
Yeah I spotted that after some more googling. Have you tried it?
Seems a reasonable price.
It’s either that or drop a fat wedge and get the carplay kit with touchscreen for £479, then stream the radio instead
Scanned with VCDS and shows tuner part number 4G0 035 056 which I think means it doesn't have DAB.
Google suggests part 4G0 035 061 can be used instead to add DAB. Really surprised a 2013 car doesn't have DAB when the 2005 car it replaced did!
I’ve just bought a 2013 B8 and I could have sworn it has DAB but this morning when selecting radio , it’s only showing FM,MW and LW.
Is there an easy way to check it really does have DAB?
I have the MMI 3G+ in it and I’ve got VCDS.
cheers,
Yes and no....
First I got a new sensor, plugged it in without installing it ( connector is hidden to the side of rear seat).
Error went away straight away.
Then I went to fit it. Unfortunately the m5 Allen bolt holding the sensor in was seized.
Tried penetrating oil, shocking it and cold...
