The 5 double spoke wheels (https://www.original-felgen.com/8v0601025abz33jg3.html) are forged, so weigh a few kilos less per wheel than a cast 19* wheel.
I've got them on my etron - they weigh less than the 17" factory alloys. Fitting them didn't change the electric range. Look for a better...
I read your fitting guide (very useful, thanks). I’ve bought the RS3 spoiler for the same reason - the standard spoiler isn’t very sporty.
Did you buy a fitting kit?
Does anyone know the part number for the white clips found under the rear spoiler of an Audi RS3?
They have a foam pad one side as shown in the picture.
I’ve found similar clips on eBay (in yellow if that makes a difference), but they don’t have the foam.
Thanks
I collected mine from Coventry - a 300 mile round trip. The seller cancelled the auction to avoid eBay fees and I paid cash. The fees can get a bit silly otherwise. There was a bit of trust involved with this arrangement, but my long standing eBay account probably helped reassure the seller that...
I bought a set of these recently on eBay. You have to be quick and willing to travel as most sets tend to be collection only.
The main benefit of the S3 saloon wheels is they’re forged (mine weigh 19kg with half worn Pirelli tyres - 2kg lighter than the 17 inch wheels they replaced). Replicas...
The rear does look better with spacers, but I think my wife would cut up my credit card if I bought anything else for the car after spending the best part of a grand on the wheels.
It’s still to early to tell with the electric range.
I had the timing belt changed on my etron at an Audi main dealer. It cost £600 and includes a free MOT for the life of the car. The technician told me it was the first belt changed he’d changed on an etron - it made me think most people don’t bother changing them at 5 years.
The handling is a bit sharper with the lower profile tyres and road noise is louder. The ride comfort hasn’t really changed. Combined with the Eibach pro kit, it’s how it should have handled from the factory.
I think the electric range has decreased slightly, but I need to use the car more to...
As for the weight, the 19 inch wheels are lighter.
The 19 inch wheels weigh 19kg (half worn tyres) and the standard etron 17s weigh 21kg (6mm tread).
Disclaimer: I measured them using my cheapo spring loaded bathroom scales.
I’m lowered on Eibach pro springs. The handling is a million times better than the standard springs. You do notice the harsher ride on potholes and speed bumps, but it’s not bad enough for me to revert to standard.
I find the front bumper catches on speed bumps because it’s so low. The 19 inch...
