Yes, the A3 was with sport suspension .... and the Golf was an SE It's such a difficult decision as I do fancy the idea of being an Audi owner but I did feel a bit more at home in the Golf!

Well, after the Audi drive, I called in at a VW garage, had a quick test drive in more or less same spec Golf and - well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I felt more at home in the .......Golf!! Yes, the A3 is gorgeous - slightly better quality interior etc but I felt the Golf ride...

Will be test driving the 1.4 tfsi s tronic today to see how it runs and to see if I get on with it .... I'm sure I will be tempted to order one, but I'm going to try and resist (at least for a week or two) and check out the opposition like the new Golf etc (who am I kidding?)

I was wondering about roof rails plus sunroof - now I have seen the one from Peter (from the Netherlands) I am happy to go for it! I really like the aluminium rails with the Monsoon (?) Grey .....

Oh dear, I hadn't even considered any different wheels for my intended purchase, but now I've seen those pictures I definitely want them! If I ever get round to ordering one .........

I'm also tempted by the CoD version, but not sure if it is worth the extra as I will be doing less than 10,000 miles per year.....will probably have to own the car for about 20 years to get the money back! Although maybe someone else can do a more accurate mathematical calculation?

I love this guy - He's great! And he really loves his job .... but who wouldn't ? No, it's not a conventional review but its made me want to go and order a new Sportback NOW!

I'm also interested in the 1.4 CoD - do you mind giving the price for your original order? I can't find any information regarding prices and can't really judge by the Golf version, as it is a completely different model

Can I ask how much difference in price between the 1.4 tfsi and the 1.4 COD? I'm very interested in the COD but not if it is at a premium
