Hi guys,
Another picture here (stock from google)
There is a clear line that goes all the way round the bumper that is around the height where the s line valance would go. I haven't got underneath the car yet (car is too low :welcoming:), but I'm assuming this part will be clipped/screwed on...
I've got a 3 door 2006 A3 2.0TDI Sport.
So my rear end currently looks like this (sh*t)
I've seen for a sale a 2008 S Line Rear Valance for sale...
Will this fit, and if so what modifications (if any) are needed?
Thanks
Off to Nurburgring in a couple of weeks in my A3 TDI (140bhp).
Had it mapped up to 180bhp, done EGR delete and I've currently got a Green Cotton Air Filter.
Need to buy the cleaning fluid and oil for the Air Filter (best/cheapest place to get this delivered quickly?) but I've just found "Green...
Cheers for the replies. Well if it's a gearbox out job then I'm certainly just going to put up with it!
The issue is, will it get any worse? Currently trying to avoid 5th as much as possible, always down shift from 6th to 4th now, only issue is when I'm going up the gears.
So got my 2006 A3 2.0 TDI (140bhp) mapped to almost 200bhp.
Tore the standard clutch apart in no time.
Got a 2nd hand Sachs Organic clutch and single mass flywheel. Every time I went in and out of 5th particularly if I brought the clutch up slow there was a weird grinding type noise...
Any update on this mate?
Got a 140pd 2006 a3 too and got EXACTLY the same issues as you, with not engaging 1st/reverse but going to 3rd then frees up the gears. Car also very occasionally moves forward like you said when the clutch is fully down in 1st.
Fairly recently had a Sachs organic...
Hmm I really like the look of the pole positions, so many people these days are using the recaro cs's too. And yeah can't afford the cs!
Found a pair of pole positions in mint condition going very cheap second hand. Might get them and then force people who want to sit in the back to get in...
Got a 3 door A3 and want some pole positions. Can you get them on sliders or are they fixed?
Basically just want to know whether anyone will be able to get in the back seats ever again.
Cheers!
Got told stock injectors would be good to 240bhp? Hmmm. Been tempted to get a new exhaust for a while for aesthetic/sound reasons as much as anything so might be worth it so it can handle more power too.
What is the deal with air filters on a diesel too? Heard that the stock paper filter and...
Already got bigger brakes/better suspension and wheels/tyres etc. Now just want more power :)
Looking at taking it to dervtech, they've got a 220bhp and 250bhp turbo. Fancy the 250bhp one as wanna challenge some S3's but don't fancy having to fork out hundreds on injectors, fmic, exhaust etc...

DO NOT buy the cheaper one which comes with the badge holder separately as...
Cheers for the replies. Mine has exactly the same look as the red A3 and yeah I agree it looks quite cheap. Problem is I hit a lorry tyre a while back and the chrome rings came off so I've currently just got the solid ring holder on there by itself that looks even worse!
Going to buy another...
Riverside Racing in Liverpool, went there to get a Revo map (around 185bhp) but they didn't have the software, so they did their own map (202bhp). If I'd got the Revo map would have saved the clutch but it was always my intention to get a bigger/hybrid turbo and get up above 200bhp.
With mine...
I've got a 140 2.0 tdi, had it mapped and egr delete, drives a lot better and much better fuel economy. If you've got the cash spare to do it then I'd say go for it! The sooner you get it done the quicker you'll start making the money back on fuel :)
Got mine mapped to around 200bhp which...
