48 combined, the pd's arent the most economical but react very well to a good service, oil + filter, air filter + fuel filter, be thankful its not a 16valve 2.0tdi, what with the DPF and EGR fekkin up the economy youd be lucky to see mid 40's mpg, better off with a gasser

sorry, my camera had died..i would try to get in there with my phone to take a pic but it would mean dismantling the air intake..its under there though, just go have a look :)

the solenoid valve behind the o/s headlight that controls the EGR valve gets drowned in water and causes the hesitation your experiencing.. you may be able to get at it when your cars running well, i.e when its dry, and cover it up with something

could be broken wires, mine were fecked on both doors (02 B6) *edit*

window switch could be cracked wires in the loom that runs through a rubber boot between the door hinges. both sides on my 02 b6 needed repairing, due to faulty windows and door speakers

rear gearbox mount maybe, they tend to go soft along with the torque arm bush at the front of the engine, neither are expensive or difficult to replace. Does the voltage increase if you raise rpm? Is the battery ok? Grounds ok? multi rib belt belt slipping? Also, the brushes in an alternator...

all base fuel is the same..its the additives they do or dont (supermarkets) put in, that make the difference. you notice this in winter more as the supermarkets tend not to add as much 'anti-waxing' agents to stop the diesel from becoming too viscous IIRC
