the clear plastic layer is probably the clear lacquer put on after the wheels had been skimmed/powder coated. Go get some clear nail varnish to patch it over to at least stop the crap getting inside and making it worse until you can get it sorted

i drilled some small holes into the number plate holder using number plate holes as a template and used the screws to screw to the holder

Gary beat me to it was about to post same vid good luck and dont stress when doing it.Big tip also put a few blankets on floor around and under bumper so if you drop it no scuffs and yeah post pics when done

thats exactly what i did but be aware that on number 8 u have to give it a really good pull outwards.when i did mine i wasnt being brutal enough and it felt like i still had a bolt in place but was just being a tart and not pulling it hard enough.The foam is just held in place and just lifts out

correct the foam isnt needed and yeah the metal bar behind the grill spray it black so it dont show up when you have RS4 grill fitted cos you will swear like a goodun if you dont

I have just bought Carista and damm it has some toys on it.enabled mirror tilt in reverse,oil temp/laptimer on dash,hazzards and tail lights to flash when braking hard etc etc,there is so much to play with on there for 30 quid its a must.Can read faults and all sorts.Do it you know you want to:))

Ok wheels done didnt do calipers yet as m8 stored it for me at his dealership locked away on axle stands,saving pennies now for next mod

Getting my wheels refurbed and cant decide on the colour,i like the standard bright silver but damm do they show the brake dust after a few days driving but i also like the anthracite colour but will this be to much with the colour of the car and also the chrome trim etc on grill and window...

hang on in there till you find as close to as you want i took 6 months to get mine as close as poss to what i wanted(no satnav,cruise etc)but very very close and am pleased i hung on till i found the one

New grill fitted.followed the write-up that was posted on an earlier thread on these forums,rear windows tinted maybe lower springs or remap next
